Crease's HALL OF FAME!

Posted: 31 Jan 2007, 07:39
by Crease
This thread is not another Heavyweight top 10 list...This is a HEAVYWEIGHT HALL OF FAME.

NOTE: This thread is only for Heavyweights::: But any unnatural Heavyweights (aka, boxers who have fought in an heavyweight title bout can be added) EG Tunney,Charles,Moore.

In every HW top 10 list, it's usually topped by Louis or Ali, with this in mind, I believe that these 2 boxers qualify by right.

Please post between 5-10 boxers to join this HALL OF FAME LIST.

Please look at... their records, opponents fought, opponents defeated, standard of boxing, title won/defended.

CREASE'S HEAVYWEIGHT HALL OF FAME INDUCTIONS:

*Joe Louis
*Muhammad Ali

PS. Feel free to add to this ASAP. POST YOUR OPINIONS AND NOMINATIONS NOW!!!!!

Langford should definitely make the Hall of Fame.

Btw, HOFs normally have a rule that active or recently retired fighters are ineligible for a certain period. Not here? If this were so, Lennox, Tyson and Holyfield would not qualify and I for example would have to replace Lewis by, say, Charles, Jeffries or Wills.

Moreover, 12 members seems a bit stingy -- in my view ultimately everyone who has gotten a vote should get into the HOF, plus a few more (notably Harry Wills).

Pundit:

I wanna be selective in my "Heavyweight Hall Of Fame"...Great fighter Will probably NOT make it in... Only the true legends who have earned their right in these hollowed halls will gain entry.

I don't want like...36 boxers in the place.

Remeber: WE MUST BE SELECTIVE!
