Many forget that Saddler held the 130lb crown.Would his cagey tactics,and height & reach help him against Chavez,who was a whirlwind when at his best marching down opponents,with his granite chin,vicious body attack,and methodical breaking down of fighters?Saddler was considered by many as the best of his day,to me so was Chavez.Forget the older Chavez,a faded warrior whose tender skin,and rises in weight,left him vulernable,and not quite up to par,but the old Chavez,who fought any style,adapted,and proceeded to violently "spank" world class fighter,after world class fighter.Saddler was tough,and from an era when life was hard,period.I don't think Chavez will stop him,BUT,I do think that his relentlessness,solid chin,extremely versatile arsenal,prove too much,even for a great like Saddler.Chavez by a close,but decisive unanimous decision.
