Hi everyone am newto this board.. basically am hoping someone out there can help me.. My grandfather was a boxer from late 1920's to late 1940's.. he also boxed in the raf which he was a gunner..
His name Richard Joseph Gallagher
known as Joe Gallagher or Patsy Gallagher oreven pat i think.
Anyway my family have told me he was a very good boxer and they have medals and trophies from his boxing days..
he came from liverpool.
hoping someone out there knows something about this part of his life thanks Alison.

Can't seem to find anyone that fits that specific description in the Data Base...have you used the search tools to attempt to make a connection?

Some come close but nothing that really matches perfectly.

i have come across two joe gallaghers on here and one was from liverpool but he only had three fights and lost them if i remember rightly..
the other one was from scotland.. i didnt think it would be so hard to get the information.. i will have to get my parents to get whatever they have out of the loft to help me. but thanks for your help in trying to locate him alison

if he was a Liverpool fighter then Rob Snell has a better chance of knowing about him than anyone!

i think i went on his website before this one! but i couldnt get half of his information up.. all that i was getting was numbers and jpl?? so i must admit i gave up.. but since you mention it i will try again.. he does liverpool and wirral boxers thanks again alison
