Referees of fights containing a previous victim of theirs...

A letter was printed in Boxing News recently with details (I've forgotten the details already) of a fight containing a boxer who had been knocked out (in the past) by the referee (in a previous bout).
Can anyone think of examples?

Sonny Liston refereed a fight with Cleveland Williams.Don't know who it was against, or the chronology, but I think it was after Liston had kayoed
Williams twice. Reports said that Liston wanted to get out of there, so he kept urging Williams to open and get it over with.Anybody have the details on this one?

The letter in Boxing News referred to George Chuvalo's fight with Charlie Reno.
Pat McMurtry (winner on points in 1958) was the ref.
