Which year in recent times gives a line up as hot as this:

Delahoya-Mayweather - our Leonard-Hagler

Hatton-Castillo - could be a cracker

Barrera-Marquez - how many times has this 1 been discussed and dismissed because Marquez wasn't worth the risk

Marquez-Vasquez - massive fight really want to see this

Harris-Witter - genuine 50-50 between 2 top4 fighters

Cassa-Freitas/Diaz - top lightweight clash

Cotto-Judah - 2 top 6 fighters at welter

Margarito-Williams - 2 top 6 fighters at welter

Winky-BHOPs - intriguing

Its only February and thats a cracking list, add to that Mosley, Pacman, Taylor, RJJ, Corrales, Calazage all looking for big fights and it should be 1 of the best years for boxing we've had. now we just have to hope Sky show some of them.

Yep, there's some crackers in there, but as ever, we need to be mindful of the gremlins attacking the schedule, and some of those fights falling apart, at least one of them is bound to crumble.

On a related note, watched some of Rafa Marquez' fights the other night for the first time and what a fantastic operator he is. Great boxing brain, and an absolute fantastic selection of shots. Just as tough as his brother, but with a much bigger punch. I can see why he has made so many P4P lists.
