I do love these stories.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/topstories ... _page.html
A GANG of happy slappers came off worst when they attacked former amateur boxer Curtis Mulcare.
The 6ft, 18 stone salesman was hit by one of eight yobs as he waited for a bus – then put two of them in hospital.
He said: “I gave him a left hook and he was down unconscious for half an hour. I jumped towards them but they all jumped back. I think they realised they didn’t want to know.
“I stood around until the bus came and they started to attack me on the bus.
“I got one and rammed his head against the cash till and cut his head open. I chucked them all off.”
Two youths were taken to hospital. Police in Brighton arrested four for affray and bailed them.
Curtis, 31, was quizzed about using excessive force but freed without charge. He said: “I only hit the lad once. I don’t think that’s excessive.
“I hope they’ve learned their lesson. They thought it was going to be happy slapping but it didn’t end up too happy for them.”

If 1 of them banged their heads on the floor and died he'd be doing time for manslaughter. A nice story though

Yeah a nice story with a happy (slapping) ending, ho ho ho.
Glad the police released our hero, surprised he wasn't celled for excessive force.

Im amazed the police didnt lock the guy up for defending himself and award the yobs a few hundred grand in 'compensation'.
That seems to be standard procedure in UK law.
Great story though.

Makes you wonder how you can be accused of "using excessive force" when you're jumped by eight yobs! What are you supposed to do.... negotiate with each one in turn as to what is an acceptable level of force in defending yourself...? Like previous post says, it's a miracle the guy isn't facing an assault rap with the attackers getting their trauma counselling and a few hundered grand in compo....

Three big cheers for Curtis Mulcare!
It's about time these gang of happy-slappers who go about acting as though they behave how they choose & no one in society dare to protect themselves.
The happy-slappers are lucky it was no excessive force used by Curtis. I wonder if other ex-boxers would have reacted more or less than Curtis did?
Have you guys seen some of the footage of what happy-slappers do? It SMEG terrible. They target people on their own, but I guess in this scenario, they picked the wrong person!

theres a lot of talk these days of people getting charged for acting as this guy did but i have come to the conclusion that its been exaggerated
which is why groups will try their luck with people on their own.
there is nothing that will stop me having a pop at a mugger and i hope this view is shared between those on this forum and is taken up on a nationwide scale. lets make them think twice

In this age of 'cash for honours', Mr Mulcare should be given both!
Make him Home Secretary!
Good to see little scrotes getting what they deserved. Wonder how many people they had terrified before this.

Even there were 8 of the twats, it still seems odd to pick on an 18 stone man.

Despite weighing considerably less than Mr Mulcare, I've been waiting for a bunch of gobby 15 year olds to try it on. Without wishing to sound like a Daily Mail reader, these little shits deserve a good kicking. Of course, given recent gun-related events, it may not be advisable to offer out yoots.

Unfortunately E, some youths now go through their whole lives without any kind of effective chastisement until they run into a modern day hero like Mr Mulcare.
Some parents don't care, or are useless and if some try to use a slightly more physical approach, they get prosecuted.
Schools can't do anything.
So they go around thinking they are untouchable until someone invites them into the real world.
I'm just glad no further action was taken against the fella because what happens is all the little fools get haircuts and dress up in their school uniforms and suddenly start saying please and thank you...just during the court case, of course.

Yeah true - the problem is that hitting someone even when you're rationally and logically in the right can end up with you in serious trouble. And boxers sparking people on the street is a dangerous activity. Michael Gomez, Mo HUssein and others have killed with one shot - guys go over and bang their head.
Look at that Youtube videop of that little pr1ck hitting all those lads and birds. HE gets sparked by one shot and then bashes his head on the pavement. Potentially lethal and then what? I mean that kid needs a beating, but not death.
A few years ago a 'mate' got his phone nicked while he was talking on it and caught up with the prick and Bing......a chilling KO. EVeryone is like patting him on the back - but what the F--k....this guy isn't even moving, he's shitting myself about possibly killing the twat...which is a) not something one would want on their conscience b) not actually appropriate punishment c) and then what? a manslaughter charge?
Anyway prick was ok...but still.....

fcuk em. Ill shed no tears about some idiot who would rather rob than get a job, or who thinks violence against innocent people is ok or cool or funny. if that was me id walk away and leave them. they put themselves at risk, they should live with the consequences of their wrong-doing.

I agree with you mikee, " fvck em " Its not like you pick up a piece of the pavement and hit them with it. If they bang their swede and die, tough!!!! If you don't go round attacking people then your head shouldn't come into contact with anything, unless you're pissed.

Of course, you're right E. Don't think the lads are saying 'kill em'...just if their selfish life choices end up causing tragedy for them, there are bigger things to worry about.
