I know it's not a British fight but was interested to see Gary Stark Jnr at 18-0 (8) taking on Mike Oliver 17-0 (7) tonight on Showtime. Oliver has apparently been calling out Bernard Dunne but i have never seen him or his opponent Stark Jnr fight.

I hear Stark is the pick in this fight and both men are 27 years old so it seems a good even matchup. I don't recognise much of note on either record except Stark holds a win over Luis Bolano, this is the only name that means a great deal to me. This scrap is at Super Bantamweight.

Any thoughts?

I've never seen Oliver fight. I've seen Stark Jr. and I'm not impressed at all with him. He didn't look all that great in sparring leading up to this fight either....

Mike Oliver boxed Martin Power in an England V USA match back in 2000, I think. He was fast & flashy with lightning handspped. I think he'll go on to big things.

Hello :D

I check in every now and then on the British forum. A lot of times there is talk of fighters I'm not familiar with, ao it keeps me out of a lot of conversations. Anyhows, Oliver won a UD over Starl. I knew I should have put a few bucks on Oliver when he opened at -115. Oh well, great weekend betting so far. Thompson over Timor was an easy win....
