Audley Harrison

Why is everybody acting like Audley is guaranteed a win tonight? A few months ago people on boxing forums acted like he was the second coming of Hitler, but now he is guaranteed to win, because he beat an unprepared Danny?

I'm not saying he won't win tonight, but for me it's 50/50.

Oh right. I usually post on Doghouseboxing, and over there it is pretty much all Audley.

I think it could go either way, but I just wondered what public opinion on here was. I like both guys, but think the win will be more important for Audley's career the Sprott's.

I think that officially confirms that Danny Williams was pretty much in awful shape for the Harrison fight. Anyone else feeling a little sorry for old Aud?

I do feel some sympathy for him: After all, no matter what you think of him, tonight was the end of his career, and I don't think you should celebrate something like that. But I'm not going to cry for Audley too much, because he's brought it all on himself. This was meant to be a redemption party for him, yet he still got booed into the ring. I'm obviously glad he wasn't hurt tonight, but he showed no humility on the way up, and he showed no class when he finally did get a decent win.

Bollocks, Harrison made an idiot out of himself by talking the talk and never walking the walk. British title within 5 fights? WHATEVER!

Goodbye Audley Harrison. He won't be missed.

Don't get me wrong Nick, I'm not going to shed any tears for him. But no matter what you think of him, and matter how much of a prick he's been, tonight was still the end of the road for him, and I don't like to celebrate anyone's downfall.

I have heard of clinical depression, is there such a thing as clinical delusionism - Audley has just said that he was okay to continue and the ref shouldn't have stopped it.

He was on the floor OUT for about 2 minutes.

I'm just glad to see the back of him. He came in playing "Crazy Baldhead" by Bob Marley, which was Lennox's tune in his ringwalk, so he was obviously trying to convince folk he was the second coming of Lewis. But the fight showed him to be anything but.

Harrison has disgusted me with his cocky attitude from the start. British champ in five fights etc. Good riddance to him.

I don't think any of us on here ignored that. We all knew that Sprott had been fighting against better opponents than the corpse of Danny Williams.

I think Audley at least had a bit of a go tonight which is more than can be said for his no shows against Williams and Guinn.

He got sparked, his true level has been exposed, I fancy him to get a rematch before Skelton gets to fight either of them and he may well reverse it but I think tonight was the final nail on Audlet Harrisons world level aspirations.

Audley started positive In the 1st, but In the 2nd he slowed down and was mostly landing on Sprott's guard.

He wasn't athletic either, too plodding.

I wish Skelton had got to spark Audley tonight and I think he probably would have.

Sprott is a nice guy too but I really like Skelton, he may not be enormously talented but what you see is what you get and he lays it all in all on the line and punches his heart out.

Goz likes Skelton.

Skelton would KO Harrison inside a round.
