Katsidis-Earl press coverage

CAn't say I am surprised but it's desperately depressing how little coverage this fight got...
You would expect Harrison to get bigger coverage becasue of the upset and his name.....but some papers didn't even carry a mention of the Earl thriller....yet had FULL separate pieces on 'Khan's amazing 55 second win'...
Fvcking unbelievable. Khan (bigger name though he is) KO's a useless featherweigt and it's big news, Earl fights showing true heart (not to mention the fight drama) for a title (admittedly only interim) and gets F all....
THe BBC website carries TWO reports/analysis of Khan's fight and no mention of Earl...

Shame the fight is not being reported more widely. It's already a certainty to pick up 'fight of the year', and it doesn't deserve to be overshadowed by one over-hyped heavy being dumped on his arse, and Amir blasting out some poor overmatched Frenchman.

Anyone know if this is being screened again on ITV4 or ITV2 at any point this week?

Boxing's image could be improved if fights like Earl-Katsidis were given more press coverage. It's sad that it hardly got a mention.

I was talking to an Asian lad in my local gym yesterday. I was having a bit of a flurry on a punchbag and he says to me 'did u c Amir Khan at da weekend, he wuz bad eh?' (I deliberately did that in text-speak to set the scene of his poor Ali G type elecution).
I said yes and that he should fight someone his own size and then asked the lad if he saw the Audley Harrison fight. He honestly didn't know what I was talking about.
I'm wondering if there are a whole generation of youngsters just tuning in now to watch Amir Khan, I can quite understand the lad having no interest in Audley Harrison but I can't see how he could fail to be aware of the fight taking place if he sat down and watched the Amir Khan fight?
Needless to say I didn't even bother asking him about Earl-Katsidis and I think he wanted to show me his mobile phone and ask if his Beanie hat was on just right so I made for the door.
