Anybody know what the two Liverpool warriors are up to these days, and what they have done since their retirements?

I think Holligan worked as a cab driver for a while.

I thought Hoko was the cab driver? Maybe both.

Re Holligan - bit of a coincidence but nice little retrospective on a section of his career just up at BBN from Paul Concannon.

I think Channel 5 are showing Holligan's pulsating battle with Shea Neary this week in their 'Boxing Classics' show.

Who the hell does channel 5's scheduling???

This ended up being Benn-Piper, which was recently screened and then followed with a Eubank snore-fest. No Holligan-Neary in sight

Holligan-Neary was on last year. I recorded it on DVD - mint, full rerun.

That was a great fight and I'd like to catch it again.

Was Andy Holligan given perhaps the hardest world title shot of any British world title challenger.....EVER?

He gets sent off to deepest Mexico to take on JC Chavez.

Been a few comparable (but I don't think one exceeds it).

John H Stracey's challenge to a faded Jose Napoles must have been quite intimidating.

Damean Kelly's IBF title shot against Irene Pachecco in Columbia.

Tommy Farr's world title fight vs Joe Louis - maybe not the most intimdating of venues - but still Joe Louis!
