I think he can as long as he gets his chance soon - Sprott wont be that easy to beat but I am sure he will be - Hopefully this time Matt will challenge for a world before the end of the year - Do you think Skelton is good enough for a world title and against which title holder?

My view on the current belt holders vs Skelton would be,

IBF Wlad Far too good, he wouldn't like Skelton coming at him, but i think Matt would have to walk through too many big shots to get anywhere near.

WBC Maskev Non starter really as a shot at Oleg is pretty much the most sought after ticket in the sport be very surprised if Warren pulled it off

WBA Valuev Funnily enough I think this would be marginally his best hope, but I'd expect Valuev to win a very ugly decision

WBO Briggs too powerful for Skelton to stand right in front of him the way he tends to.

It would be a tall order for either Skelton or Sprott to win a world title; they are probably just good domestic or Euro level fighters. Either of them would have a punchers chance against Vlad, Skelton is tough enough to have a half decent shot at Maskeav and Briggs, Valuev would probably stop Sprotty and decision Skelton. I'd love to see either of them win a title

As bad as Skelton is, I think he can hang with this lot - with the exception of Wlad (and he'd have a punchers chance there).

I would favour him over Briggs and if Brock gets a crack at the WBO title before hand (possibly fighting Ibragimov for an interim title) - then I think he could be too big for Brock.

Seeing McCline give Valuev some problems (actually a rematch I wouldn't mind seeing the fight was getting nicely set up) - I think Skelton has a chance, although I'd favour Valuev. Valuev doesn't punch his weight but is surprisingly quick for his size and I think hits has hard as the fat slow Williams that hurt Skelton in fight one... Remember, power = speed x force and Danny isn't hitting as hard as he did when he was lighter and quicker.

Maskaev could be far trickier than people give him credit - there is some skills with him and decent power. He is vulnerable but I would favour him.... he has a long list though of more credible fighters after him.... none of which I would tip Skelton against.

Briggs is pretty poor these days, isn't the most durable... has no punch output and I think his power isn't what it was cause he has bulked up too much (like Williams has done).

All would be too big for Sprott though - whose best hope for a title is too get Virchis back in the ring.

Skelton - Valuev, and the sight of Skelton trying to stick the nut on someone seven feet tall......

Skelton could beat Briggs. If he survives the first couple of rounds he will outlast Briggs. Briggs is terrible.

Although he who shall remain allegedly has promised the winner of Skelton Sprott a world title shot I really don't see what either man has done to deserve it.

I meant Sprott getting a shot after failing to win the European belt would be just plain wrong. Skelton hasn't proved himself at Euro level yet and his best win is over a less than motivated Danny Williams who he has lost to once to anyway.

Maskaev beat Samil Sam, who really sucks(can't believe Williams lost to him!) and Briggs got his shot fr being a name and former title challenger and because It's easy to be rated In the WBO.

Maskaev did KO Rahman (twice). I would say thats pretty deserving. Although Oliver McCall made a compelling argument after his last fight saying he deserve a rematch after smashing him up many years ago.

Personally I don't think so but perhaps the lower hanging fruit (Briggs & Maskaev) might present at least an outside chance for Skelton as they are such an erratic bunch.

WHY OH WHY did Warren/Skelton turn down the Maskaev fight when it was offered to them last year??

Skelton has the stamina to outlast Briggs but I have doubts over his chin and power. I know most people think he's got a good chin, but I saw him get KO'd in one round with PUNCHES in K1 by Jerome LeBanner. Irrelevant? Well, again it was punches that did it; kicks didn't play a part.

Power? He has a strong body but it took him 12 rounds to wear down a Sprott who's been beaten in one round in true world class (Sanders).

Skelton sure took some heavy shots from Williams though.

Thats unfair. That fight was only just getting started and with both men hurt, and the god damn inept referee waves it over for the local boy.

Skelton and Warren blew the Maskaev shot what idiots. Say he'd won, SKelton would be in position for a money spinner with Klit Snr now.

All 3 champs (plus Briggs) are so vulnerable, Skelton has a shot v any, if he gets it this year that is. He's old enough to start falling apart.

Briggs is nowhere near as good as some people make out. Skelton would definitely be in with a great chance. Briggs was blowing out of his arse after a couple of minutes against Liyakovich.

It depends, if he can survive against Briggs/Maskeev or back them up, rough them up and outwork them all night he has a chance. I'd like to see Skeleton at the next level to see what happens. Hes got poor skills, but his tough brave high workrate style may outdo 1 belt holder. He may get knocked senseless though

I don't think he can. He is a dirty fighter and USA refree will give him alot of warning..

On the WBO website Skelton is #10, Harrison is #12

I think its possible-as long as he stays away from klitschko. And that's a worrying indicetment on todays division
