Surely not! :o

I'm thinking that maybe he is taking a page out of the George Foreman book of self promotion and he's about to release a range of slacks for the tall or portly gent. Or maybe he's trying to get a bit of publicity for that Superfighter tournament which i think is being relaunched in Vegas.

I can't imagine the urge to return is growing with someone like Len i think the decision to retire at the time was agonising but i don't think it would have eaten away at him since.

I really hope the is not true, I have no desire to see an old and creaking Lewis with greying dreadlocks getting back in the ring again. Lennox Lewis has nothing to prove as far as I am concerned.

Its in a few papers too, bad move for Lennox, he'd need to work really hard just to get in nearly good shape. Vitali despite looking skinny wasn't overweight while Lennox probably is over 300lbs

these come backs rumours are boring, if its not Lewis its Hamed, if it not Hamed its foreman its it not him its someone else. Untill they offically announce something its worthless. Lewis will probably be on the radio later saying its not true

Obviously not worth getting carried away at this stage although Sky just quoted Bob Arum as saying a return with Klitschko at Wembley is a "done deal", whatever that actually means.

I never believed Vitali would stay retired once he'd healed up,but I always thought Lennox would. He does seem to be around the fight scene a lot though which might suggest he craves another big fight night.

Rocky Balboa has a lot to answer for.

Lewis should not comeback boxing. He will be slow...

Maybe he is trying to be like a Rocky guy as a very old man

The fight is likely to be in London this autumn - They say he is being tempted by a $25 million paynight for a re match with Vitali Klitschko - He is apparently back in the gym already, and plans are under way with his business partners in the USA. Seems to be for real!

a much more believeable version of events. :TU:

If you watch his latest myspace video posting he did on feb 19th, he says he isnt coming back, he says he is comfortable retired, has a job at HBO, when asked about vitali he said he is still challenging him to fight and if not then to play chess against him, then when asked if he was tempted to go back he says he is too old, that he has to listen to his body and that he achieved everything already, that there is no higher heights for him to box for.

Reckon this is a red herring myself, either cooked up by Don King, HBO, or someone, cannot see Lewis wanting to come back now, I certainly hope it isn't true, he doesn't need the money, the geezer is richer than king Midas.

I think-hope-this is just a rumour. Bad move for Lewis and for the sport.

BBC this morning quotes LL denying the reports.

He also responds on his own website.

There is a God.

Thankfully a false alarm, Lewis also dismissed the rumours on sweet science website. Thank goodness for that!

I have always sided with LL, especially on the long drawn out Vitali debate.
There is one glaring fact that I have to concede though!
Lennox has stated that he is 'a man of his word' regarding his coming back!
Did he not also utter the same words regarding Vitali's rematch

Another piece of dismal journalism from the Daily Mail.

I'm sure the Mail will blame immigrants or the Labour Party for the story.

Not to you or I he didn't but Vitali the obsessive seems to think LL did. If I remember rightly he kept banging on about how Lennox is a gentleman and will saty true to his word with the re-match.

Vitali was just a parasite trying to make his reputation off someone better.

HBO & Ring still look like wankers for declaring Vitali-Sanders as for the "lineal" championship.

Ring in particular are supposed to know better. Yet they are true hypocrites - Nigel Collins saying in his editorials that "history will show Holyfield NOT LEWIS to be the great heavy of his time" and yet putting Vitali on a pedestal for future greatness.

The self serving fools got what they deserved, is all I can say. Wins over Kirk Johnson and Danny Williams and pulling out vs Rahman, with steroid rumours in the background. They got egg on their faces.

True. Maybe they just needed a scoop.
