Lightweight, Earl at #1, Willie Limond at #10, Amir Khan at #12

Junior Lightweight, Alex Arthur at #3, Kevin Mitchell at #5, Carl Johannson at #12

Feather weight Nicky Cook at #2, Derry Matthews at #11

Jr. Featherweight, Michael Hunter at #7

Flyweight, Lee haskins at #11

How much of these do people agree with? I do feel that some of our boys are a bit favoured, especially when you look at who they are above in some cases

I'm honestly not just saying this for the sake of it - but

Heavyweight rankings are plausible. Ditto Froch. Lockett's ranking is an absolute joke, ditto Jennings and Anderson (Jennings more so.) Doherty's rating at #8 is an absolute scandal - how you can possibly say he's #8 on the basis of half a dozen wins over Ernie Smith I don't know. Earl and Limond are also too high. Mitchell too imo. Johannson's is ok. Cook's too, although not the fact he's just been bummped up there from #6.

It's all a crock of shit tbh. The WBO are addicted to purdy records with big winning streaks and TV cameras behind them. Alledgedly...no, I won't even bother.

it dont need saying does it? I cannot for the life of me see Audley in at #12 even after the DW fight. Froch ok, I wouldnt have him that high but hes got to be up there.

but the rest of them are stupid - dont even get me started on AMIR you-must-be-jo-KHAN

you're clearly on to something here, mikee!! i remeber 10 years ago, boxing news editor claude abrams referred to the WBO title as a glorified british title!!

All the sanctioners have strange ratings - look at the WBA, almost ready to strip Juan Diaz for that guy Prawet Singmangcha. All can be swayed by the right promoter. You can say the IBF belt was dodgy when Larry Holmes had it - and it allowed him to hand pick his opponents and avoid Dokes, Thomas etc. The IBF would go through their British period in the mid '80s just as the WBO would a decade later.
