Who wins this?
140 probaly wasnt oscars best weight, but he did fight and win a world title there.
I heard rumours that both Oscar and Mosley wanted nothing to do with Kostya on their way up from the lighter weights.
anyway....who do you think wins this and why?

At one point,I thought Tszyu looked near unbeatable,then the loss to Phillips(which to me,was excusable,because nobody is invincible),but then his "quit"against Hatton,really put a lot of doubt about him to me.I don't think neither Mosley nor DelaHoya avoided him,and while he could punch brutally,I think either one of those 2 had a good chance against him

Its hard to judge them because DeLaHoya never fought there for long, Tszyu was a bigger puncher but i think DeLaHoya would have won by UD maybe 7-5 or 8-4.

The fact of the matter is that his corner called it not him. Much the same as Joe Frazier in the Thrilla in Manilla.

The difference? Kostya did not make an issue of the decision in front of the cameras and expressed his dissapointment in private and has held no grudge regarding the call. These are simply personality differences between the two men. But in each case it was not their decision.

Sorry BoxBuzz but for me Tszyu quit. I remember one time when the corner of Wilfredo Gomez told him that they were going to stop the fight and he said if you stop the fight I'll kill you. Now that is no quitting. The Tszyu fight was stop in between rounds and he did not make an issue of this, he just simply quit.

In the subject who will win I’ll say 10 out 10 DLH win by decision. DLH is too smart and much better boxer than Tszyu. DLH would move in angles and wins this hands down. DLH by UD.

And as long as you agree that Frazier quit then you can certainly say Tszyu Quit as well. I think neither quit but were instructed to do so by their cornermen. And as I play the tapes it seems to be clear that it was the cornermans decision that the referee acknowledged in each case.

This fight was suppose to happen before Kostya lost to Phillips.. DLH didn't stay to long at this weight but I like his combination of heart speed and power/skills to come through in a close fight

The big huge humongous difference between Frazier and Tszyu is Frazier was in plenty of wars before vs Ali and he was taking a lot of punishment and in the other hand the Tszyu fight was close and he wasn’t even taking that much punishment and he was never in a war as fighter before, so its not like it was a mercifully stoppage. Again sorry BoxBuzz but for me Tszyu just simply quit.

Sorry, but that's crap. Both fights were stopped by the corner, there's no two ways about it.

Anyway, would have loved to have seen this fight. If only the Phillips fight had've gone the way it was planned! I'd take Oscar by a decision, maybe 8 rounds to 4. He was bigger and quicker than Kostya and I think he would have used his jab to keep Tszyu at bay for most of the night.

only way for Tszyu to win is by stoppage and he aint stoppin Oscar.

I think ODH was probably at his peak at Light Welter. Tsyzu is one of the best fighters the division has housed.........tough one to pick, but I'd edge towards ODH by decision, but depends on how he takes Kostya's power shots.

If Vince Phillips could KD and stop a prime Tszyu, you can bet your bottom dollar Oscar would stop him as well.
