but tubbs KO win over corrie sanders looks good on paper, perhaps this could be a test for greenburg, i sniff an upset here.

but im a bit worried about tubbs lack of activity....

Tubbs win over Sanders may look good on paper but so does Larry Holmes win over Norton, doesn't mean he'd be a good opponent (although probably better than Tubbs)

I'd like some kind of citation as to who exactly these people are who are high on Grennberg. Certainly not his own team, as they are scared to death to match him with opponents who aren't propped up cadavours.

robert waterman is the seconds out king pin......he is an israeli i believe, he is a lovely man and a true gent, far too nice for the wicked world of boxing, but surely he must see the light and stop putting so much energy into roman. the first thing greenberg needs to do is start getting fitter...

This is the biggest load of crap I have ever seen. Nate Tubbs has fought once in 9 years and is old enough to be Greenbergs father. Tubbs wasnt any good in the first place

He had talent, but has gone backwards. He is the most over protected fighter on earth.

Time for a change of management/promoter Roman, before your career become the laughing stock of Boxing.

I'm sick and tired of Greenberg. Time to switch off until he's matched properly. This takes the "building-up process" to a new low. I just hope all concerned with Roman realise this isn't why fans are attracted to boxing. It's a complete turn off.

Is Nate Tubbs a brother or cousin of Tony Tubbs?

Bigger, burlier, harder hitting but less skilled younger brother of Tony TNT Tubbs.

Hmmmmm... is Greenburg's level of opposition worse than JD Chapman's? I didn't think it was possible, but it's becoming a close run thing.

I saw the headline about Greenberg fighting Tubbs and thought, despite his age, it would be interesting to see Roman in with TONY Tubbs. Then I clicked the headline and it was "only" Nate Tubbs, and I switched my interest off again.

Robert Waterman is not Israeli, he is English, from London. He is a nice guy but where he has found humans who are impressed with Greenberg, the lord alone knows.

Anyone know if Robert Waterman will be looking after other fighters also. I noticed (as I am sure everyone else did) that Robert Warterman's name was mentioned as "in association with" the last Warriors boxing PPV (the card that featured Greenberg, Moorer and McCall).

Tubbs has been on a low-level comeback for a few years now (what was it Rocky said? "Nothin' big, y'know... just local). He's 48 or 49 but he'd still be a better opponent than Nate.

Hes a much better opponent than Nate, although Nate can really hit. He put a few juicy ones on Tua before belly flopping for the full count.

I would not be surprised at all if Tony Tubbs outpointed Greenberg. Hes a very clever old man and Greenberg brings no firepower or experience.

Greenburg has talent, no doubt about it, but I get the feeling his management team are not too enthusiastic about him stepping up the competition. I have met Roman and he seems like a nice guy, pleasant etc.

Although he's only young, his opponents need to of sterner opposition. If they are not, what will he learn & how will he progress? I agree that a change of management may be on the agenda if Roman really wants to see how far his boxing career can go?

Greenburg comes across as a bit of a "lazy" fighter. I know it's important for a boxer to be relaxed in the ring, nut he looks too relaxed. Sometimes, his fitness has not always been up to scratch, maybe that needs to be improved?

The Russian-born Greenberg - who represents Israel, where he moved when he was 11, but lives in England - didn't look very comfortable in New York. The best action came in the final minute of the 10th round, but by then the outcome was long decided.

Greenberg got the nod from the three judges, all by 99-91 scores as he won nine of the 10 rounds.

Billed as one of the quicker and more mature young fighters, the 24-year-old Greenberg looked plodding and, at times, frustrated by Simms. But Simms provided so littleof a threat that the outcome never was in doubt.

Greenberg did land an assortment of body punches with his unorthodox style in which he carries his left arm high but to the side of his face. Outweighing Simms 234 to 213, he never was able to take advantage of that edge, however, to stagger Simms.

''I did what I had to do. You can obviously always do better,'' Greenberg said. ''I am happy with the win, my trainer is happy. I and still learning, but soon I will get there.''

''It feels very good to fight at Madison Square Garden, and some day I will be fighting for the title in the big Garden,'' he said.

He'll need to bring a lot more than he showed Saturday if he ever gets a title shot.

I didnt buy this on Secondsout and I would be surprised if anyone did.

Greenberg is the only "prospect" I know who gets worse with each fight.

True he is English - but I understand he is Jewish, as of course is Greenberg and this partially explains his obsession.

If I remember correctly Waterman promoted Jewish fighter Israel Ajose for a bit... I remember him being beaten at a waterman show by the fantastically named Chris P Bacon.[/quote]

Michael Simms is a decent cruiserweight. The type that you'd like to see Enzo in with. Simms had two wars with Felix Cora Jr, a draw & a loss.
