Have to say - that was very impressive from Damien Owen against Boxrec poster Dean Phillips. I did ask before if the O Hara defeat was maybe a touch of a home town decision - and judging by that display I cannot see how Owen lost that. Having said that, Owen looked much stronger than he did on the Gammer vs Steeds undercard - really had some authority in his punches. Some might say that Phillips' punch resistance is in decline, maybe but you could hear that those punches were sounding crisp.

Not sure where Dean can come from here - maybe the treaded R word might be considered.... He would certainly have to take some major risks if he can get back to any type of championship level.

That was really impressive.

One route, I did say before, for Dean could be Ceri Hall. Hall though himself looked stronger than in his performances on the Gammer cards in Carmathen. Hall is older and isn't as talented as Owen by the looks of things. He normally likes setting the pace. Despite being heavier than Owen - I am not show sure he is as strong. Owen looked a fair amount bigger than Dean.

John McDermott is still a pie boy who doesn't seem to have changed at all.

There where some good fights on the undercard Wayne Brooks V Nick Okoth (I think excuse the spelling) I real war which was a draw although I thought okoth edged it.

Ye I think Dean was waiting for his opportunity to counter punch Owen and did catch him once or twice but got cought with a cracking shot.

There was a extreemly good Hungarian prospect who fought OJ who was very impressive

All in all a good night of boxing
