Well I suppose Williams is now back in the mix, having beaten Gammer and reclaimed the British title.

It's not a particularly pleasant thought imo, but this puts a whole new spin on things as far as British heavies go.

We know that Sprott-Skelton is happening May 26th. Audrey is apprently fighting on, which to be honest I think is fair enough. Will Danny want to avenge his loss to Audrey? Will it be Gammer-Harrison, with the latter now having nothing to lose, and in the meantime Williams fights McDermott. (oh dear) Maybe throw Haye into the mix?

And whatever happens, will Frank have Williams in with Sprott or Skelton AGAIN? There's sure going to be a lot of world title eliminators flying about Britain in the next few months

They should all fight each other and keep on doing so and forget about world titles which NONE are capable of winning.

Is that the only way of selling these fights, by saying "the winner will fight Shannon Briggs"?

These guys are starting to put in fierce, honest efforts, so cut the bullshit is what I say, FW.

Only haye is world class, but that's at cruiser. Wouldn't mind Haye-Gammer.

Yet Brigg's with mostly just weightlifting Is capable?

i think the bRitish HW scene in quite healthy. even though none are top 10 world wide (skelton is maybe) there are lots of good fight or rematches to be had. and titles like the british, commonwealth and european ones to win.

Good point. Maskaev wouldn't be able to take the best of Williams, but IMO Maskaev's just a bit too savvy for him.

I think Williams could beat Maskeev and Briggs, its a shame Vitali/Peter will relieve Maskeev of his belt

its certainly a mess but we've had some cracking fights over the last few years Sprott williams 2 was dynamite ! Skelton williams 1 was cracking stuff ! its not surprise that training and focused mental outlook can produce stunning results


this reminds me of the heady 50's and 60's Cooper/ Erskine/ London/ Bygraves etc all fighting each other on numerous occasions with all sorts of results ensuing

the bottom line is we now need an 'undisputed british' champion in exactly the same way that europe needs an undisputed king (its not virchis by dint of his loss to chags).........

america needs an undisputed and so on and so on ..right up to the top





no reason why we cant have Aforce Williams 3 if theyre both up for it

the winner of that should fight sprott or skelton (who by that time should have taken the euro crown off Virchis... ....its a dream scenario isnt it ....

strange how at other weights we all want the brits to fight eachother, at HW we have seen too much of it....

I think a fit Williams can really give Harrison a big kicking, he was in such awful condition for that first fight, and looked like he didn't want to be there.

A rubber match with Audley is probably the one fight he really wants before he retires. He's beaten Tyson, challenged for the heavyweight title already, and I don't think would beat Briggs or Maskaev, both of whom can hit. Danny's punch resistance hasn't looked great for many years now, and I think either of those men hits hard enough to put him down and out.

Danny used to beat up Oleg in the gym back in 2000, bet he would love to get his hands on him for real, especially now he has this WBC strap.

Maskaevs a tough old pro on form, i dont think a rusty ageing injury prone Klit Sr or very limited Peter are guarantees to relieve him of his belt.

Imagine if Danny did it?!!
