Peden's return

There is quite a good card coming up on Friday. Robbie Peden will have his first fight since getting towelled up by Barrera a couple of years ago. It’s a pity he has taken so long to return to the ring and it will be good to see him again. I was a bit disappointed when he failed to make weight for his chance on the Winky Wright undercard. That was a big blow for him but now he is back in Aus and looking to get rid of some ring rust. It will be interesting to see how he goes...

Dale Westerman and Colin Wilson will also make an appearance on the undercard which should provide some good entertainment. And I have to give special mention to Tyrone "The Cyclone" Tongia. He is one of my favourite up and coming fighters who will some day be a superstar. Look for a really impressive performance from him (especially as he his going up against a bloke who is 0 and 2). With every fight he gains a bit more experience and momentum.

Will anyone here be getting out to the fight?

I was truly shocked. It appears Peden's career is over, whether he continues to fight or not. (He lost via 8th round KO to Ranee Ganoy 22-10-2). A truly terrible performance.

At least Tyrone "The Cyclone" Tongia scored another impressive Knockout win, dispatching of Roland Malonhao easily in the 2nd. Does anyone else see the potential I do in this bloke?

Seen him fight once, first fight I think and he looked OK, sounds like he is improving.
How did Nathan Di Carlo go?

Pedens KO was a bit of a shock, but Ganoy is a very good puncher
I thnk if he gets KOed by Ganoy - time to take a hard look at the future.
He has had a good career, and won a alphabet title, hope he retires and stays retired.

Di Carlo beat Steve Freeth (Vic) over 4x2 Amateur bout on unanimous points.
