Any particularly interesting circumstances (e.g. guy debuting at bad weight or vs a much-more experienced fighter) about such fights are especially welcome.

I'll start the bidding with two:

Alexis Arguello - L TKO1 vs another (alleged) 0-0-0 guy. Arguello was only 16. Anyone know any more about this fight?

Bernard Hopkins - 33-year Hopkins L MD4 to 0-0-0 Clinton Mitchell. This was at light-heavy, a weight Hopkins would not fight at agin until his win last year over Antonio Tarver - sounds like a "wrong weight" and possibly first-fight jitters to me.

Henry Armstrong.
The following is a direct quote from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette of July 28. Al Iovino, Swissvale, 123 pounds, knocked out Melody Jackson [Armstrong], recent importation from the South, in the third round with two minutes and 27 seconds of the session gone. Jackson started out trading wallops and kept it up until he grew tired, with both lads slugging toe-to-toe. Iovino got Melody in bad condition as round three progressed, the southern lad showing extreme dislike for body blows. When Al clipped him with a long overhand left that found its target, Jackson went face down upon the canvas."

If I remember correctly, Wilfredo Gomez started with a draw and then went on a near record KO streak.

Okay so since we've got away from ATGs, Bonecrusher Smith, then simply James Smith, was overmatched in his pro debut on ESPN and James Broad-Axe Broad, at that time trim, fast, nice moving & nice punch variety, took him to the cleaners in the 4th rd.

Michael Bentt I believe lost his debut by KO. But went on to knock Morrison out in a single round.
