Impressive and mature performance by Ian Wilson in beating the far more experienced Henry Castle.

Actually seen Ian look classier but thought it was a great result. He looks so fragile but is clearly solid - I would assume British title is attainable (only 6 or 7 fights so far) maybe more.

Anyone lese impressed by this lad?

He did a good job last night, Castle is a good little boxer , who was looking for a British title shot, so for Wilson to stop him was impressive.
His people don't want to push him to quick off this win though, he still needs some good learning fights, but he can push onto title level later on

He looks vulnerable, but it is deceiving and he appears to take it no bother - Looks to be lacking in power, but it is too early to tell for sure.

I liked the look of him, showed good heart to work through the drubbing he took the first 2rnds...this is what I`d call a real learning fight...he probably learnt alot about himself also, and can call upon it if and when he faces a crisis in the future...how many `prospects` only face a real test like this towards the end of their career....best find out early....even though Maloney looked his casual self I`d bet he was over the moon to have a real live prospect to build.

Skysports showed the entire fight

Both boxers, both boxer's camps and Frank Maloney for putting the bout together, especially given the circumstances

I was really impressed with Wilson, Castle held almost every advantage going into this one and it showed for the first couple of rounds, but Wilson showed no fear and kept sticking to his task until he made his breakthrough. Pulling off a win like that, Wilson had every right to shout his mouth off, but not a bit of it, he was completely humble and honest afterwards. I give the guy 11 out of 10 for his performance.

I hope Castle continues, it's a setback, but he's still a good boxer, but the British title may be out of his range at the moment.

As for Wilson, I look forward to more from him, and like topper123 says, I hope he doesn't get rushed off the back of this win. He still deserves some more time before being pushed again.
