Its not going to end anytime soon, the heavyweights just plain suck at the moment..........hopefully there will be a couple who break through in the next few years.

I don't think this is fair. Austin earnt his shot especially in an era of 4 world champs. Klitchsko smashed him because despite stamina and chin questions is a seriously good boxer with power.....

I think its debatable E. All Austin really warranted was a rematch with Ibrahmigov - and whether he deserved a fight with him in the first place in an eliminator is debatable. The guy lost to Attila Levin FFS - and hasn't had a recongisable win over a credible opponent excluding the overexposed Owen Beck since uhhhh Never.

Plenty of draws - Zuri Lawrence (WTF), Larry Donald, Ibramighov,

Another saddening fact is that, once Austin is moved down the rankings, the highest two boxers to (presumably) be asked to fight in an eliminator are...Brewster and Byrd, both of whom havn't fought for a year. Admittedly, they are there somewhat by default, thanks to Brock's demotion, Ibragimov's removal etc. but still ouch.

Not that it is the end of the world or anything, but might be nice to have had a topic title like "Wlad Result" rather than spoil the actual result.

Also they're cousins who probably won't fight and if they do probably won't go at it

For some bizzare reason i thought Byrd was going to cruiser?

This is interesting...thinking back on some of Byrd's previous fights he must have a pretty large family
