A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO WHILST CARRYING OUT SOME WORK IN A HOUSE ,I CAME ACROSS A ALMOST COMPLETE SET OF "Ring" magazines (1950 - 1965) plus several other books ,one of these was called "How to box" by Joe louis. It basically is a magazine where joe louis discusse's in each chapter various things ,Footwork ,correct punching ,defense and attack ect.with photos from his fights ect and at the back a list of world champs.Ike williams ,Jackie Patterson, joe louis are listed as champs at the back so I imagine its a mid 1940's publication..It's published by Dave Mckay company.Philadelphia. The first page a photo has been cut out ,also page 27.Other than that its in good condition.Nice piece is where he talks about the left hook and has a series of photos of Tony Galento getting hammered to "best" illustrate.Anyway im going to put it on Ebay , is it worth anything? Also putting up a book by Freddie Mills "Battling for a title".

I bought the Joe Louis book you refer to when I was a lot younger. Well laid out and easy to follow instructions. I hope I still have it....somewhere!
