Cant wait to see the next stage in Thaxton's dramatic career. I like the look of him at lightweight - he always looked a bit small and stocky as a light welter. But at lightweight he looks solid & sharp. Providing his takes care of business against Lawton, does anyone see him getting a big fight opportunity such as Katsidis, Romanov (for the European title) or Khan?

There seems to be alot of good fights coming up at Lightweight on the world scene. Rumours are that Eric Morales might get a surprise opportunity for David Diaz's title (and beat Barrera in becoming Mexico's first four weight world champion... cause that is winnable).

Also, with Juan Diaz vs Acelino Freitas happening, that could leave us with a WBA normal champion to find (again)... opportunity maybe for Jono.

I don't want to see Thaxton in with Khan, backward step for Thaxton.... Earl would be a good one, and I think he has a better chance vs Kastdis than Earl did (sturdier and hits harder).

Thaxton is very solid, doesnt have the biggest of work rates, but
he's tough and strong at the weight.

Not going to win a world title I dont think, he would beat Earl,
but Kastidis is a different level, it would be interesting though
