Contender bloke Mora priced himself out of a Jermain Taylor fight because he didn't like the location, Memphis, which he felt was too clsoe to Taylor country.

Taylor instead may face Cory Spinks in a local interest fight. Is Taylor fighting a few too many junior middles? Will he get a shock against the Pavlik-Miranda winner?

I honestly think this reality rubbish is a very bad idea, because it'd be bad for boxing if wider audiences tuned in only to see sick massacres of celebrity novices.

Calzaghe fighting Manfredo may do him more harm than good. Ppl will see through the fad is Manfredo is a pile of shit.

If reality TV is so powerful, why don't they just produce reality shows to get ppl interested in world title fights?

From what I read, it could be move DOWN to light middleweight - not Spinks moving up.

I cannot see Taylor cramming his massive size to 11 stone, but that what I think he is talking about.

sounds impossible. Can't see a catchweight either as there'd be no titles on the line.

The Mora camp considers the Memphis FedEx Forum to be home field advantage for Taylor, who hails from relatively nearby Little Rock, Arkansas. According to ESPN, the Taylor camp is going back to the 154lb division, offering the fight to IBF junior middleweight titlist Cory Spinks. Incidently, I am a little gutted that the Mora fight is off. Okay, the Latin snake hasn't really done enough to warrant a shot - but he's looked good in beating the fighters he has (excluding Manfredo) since the contender. The likes of Regan are decent NABF level opporators and Mora handled him (and his awkardness) pretty easily.

I think they mean going to pluck another oponent from 154-pounds, as was the case vs Ouma. They just worded it badly it seems.

This shows just how much of a phony Mora is. A fighter of his limited ability should be doing everything it takes to fight a guy of Taylors standing. He should want to fight Taylor in his own back yard if he had to. At least Manfredo has got the guts to take on a champion in his own country. Mora is pathetic.

this whole idea of putting Contender fighters in world title fights is ridiculous and after the 1st one ppl may never want to see another again.

You've got to be impressed with Spinks opposition level no matter you say about him. Mayorga to make him linear at 147, Kazamin who was no1 to make him no1 at 154, now Taylor at 160. Spinks shouldn't be going above 154 but this will be interesting, I think Taylor finally gets a KO after a while to be honest.

can't be. I think it's down to 1 badly worded news snippet. Surely Taylor can't get down to 154. I believe that as much as Cotto saying he could go down to lightweight, which he said a few yrs ago!

I can't see how Taylor could make 154, he was strulggling to make 160 not so long ago.

all reports i've seen say it'd be Spinks moving up to 160. I mean, why would Taylor put himself at a disadvantage?

I suppose it's an interesting match. At least Taylor won't be backing up ala Ouma. He'll rally have to cut this guy down. Shame that taylor's not faced any power yet, I have to say, because I always felt that would bring the best of him. If there is brilliance in Taylor, he may need it forcing out of him, as was sometimes the case with Eubank.

There isn't a chance of that. Jermain Taylor struggles to make the weight and there is always talk even from himself of moving up to super middleweight in the near future.

Yeah, some guy who wrote a fightnews report used bad English and it seems ppl think that Tayor is moving down.
