Les Sherrington

What can you tell me about this bloke? Has he got any skills, power, etc? I don't think I've ever seen him fight but it says he is fighting for the Australian Super Middleweight Title (not the most prestigious belt I'll admit but we have produced a few decent Super Middles lately) so I was wondering if he has got a future? I see he has lost to Pittman and Culey so it doesn't look extremely promising...

1. He is defending his OZ title
2. OZ title is far more prestigious than most of the regional crap
3. Sherro is a different boxer to what he was when he fought Pitty & Culey
Cheers

I watched les's last fight in townsville, Sherrington looked very good, good hand speed and good power.he spent time trannin with Mundine comin into the fight and looked very sharp.like 2 see him in with better class box's then his next 2 fights Suwunnalird 9-7-1,and Quagliotto 4-2.1 too watch 4 this year.

Les is now a neat calculating puncher, as was his trainer (Don't go in unless you can unload 3) Danny McGrail.

Les is going places he has talent, I train with him alot, I seen him spar Mundine a bit and he did very well. He has 3 fights comming up in next 3 months and he will win them all, He won'ts Porky, Danny is bring out the best in Les and he is now training like a pro and being smart in his prep for a fight.

Yeah he sign it tomorrow for the lovett fight, he over the moon about this fight. I don't know about this USA stuff, today he was more interested in Pitman again at the end of the year or Handam.

Les & Porky will be a top fight. I was hoping it would happen on the Gold Coast. I guess I'll have to make it to my old stomping growd Melbourne to see it.
Love both of them (including the fatman that trains Porky), but naturally I want fellow Gold Coaster Les to win.
The way I see it, both are gunna be center ring from the word go & neither are gunna back away an inch.
One of the best Aussie vs. Aussie matchups for a while.

Still haven't seen Les but I'm a big fan of 'Porky' Lovett so I know who I'd be cheering for but either way lets hope it happens and it's a great fight!

Just watched 'Sherro' up against Suwannalert. I was reasonably impressed (as much with his entrance as anything! who was it who walked him to the ring???). He looks strong but he is definitely there to be hit! based on that performance I would still favor 'Porky' Lovett if they fight. How solid is it Anton?

As far as I know August 10 is still the date.
If by chance Barry Michael doesn't go ahead with it, I'm sure Jamie Myer will on the Gold Coast.....I'd like that

Johnny row( not sure if that is the right way to spell his last name) A mate of Les from up north a rapper who nearly always raps Les into the ring.

the last time i saw Brad Mayo he was doing corner work for a boxer on a murray thompson card, he looked like he was around the 90-95 kilo mark.
He will need a lot of work to get down to supermiddle

I can't even remeber the last time I saw Mayo... has he been active?

Nope his last fight was against danny green in 03

Why on earth would he come back!?! Especially if he is around the 90-95 kilo mark...

Not sure, Im finding it hard to fathom as well..
Whoever was calling the action on the Murray Thomson card made a comment on how his last fight was at the Melbourne Superdome against Danny Green and how he had gathered a bit of condition since then

Les's next two opponents should not give him much trouble. One has not won a fight and the other has lost as many as he has won.

yeh i think sherro is a good boxer, but its the same old story really

Where do they find people like Chimlum anyway? And how does Njock (with a 2-2-1 record) get a shot at a national title? It is an insult.
