i have spoke to mark on a diffrerent website ( webl ) and he seems genuine and committed to making it - he sounds like he has dedication and ambition ...
what happened against digger wyborn though ?

Digger had fair amount of power behind his punches, which some underestimated.
Mark was one of them.
Bob Mirovic also found that out back in 1999. Digger took the fight on the same day (replacing Martin Opetaia) & floored Bob in one of the early rounds. Hell of a weight difference too.

Digger also put down Briggs in the first round, He has one punch power if he lands.

Digger was a good stick & a great bloke, but was used & abused.
Would've liked to have managed him in his early days, but was a member of ANBF ratings committee at the time and therefore unable.

he is young and looks in decent shape...

there was talk of him going over to the us to spar with some of the big boys...

i didnt underestimate digger i asked for the fight, i wanted to see if i was going anywhere and he was the gatekeeper at the time, i knew he could punch after seeing him hurt briggs and homouno, it was just an experienced vet taking advantage of a wild young rookie who came into the fight physically and mentally not right, digger is a good fighter and hits harder than alot of heavyweights that are supposed to be big punchers. i am actually a fan of his watched him growing up on fox and always cheered for him, the digger fight told me i was headed nowhere with my qld team so it was god in hindsight.

anyways, i spent 3 weeks sparring shane cameron last year, 1 week sparring tauasa in perth recently and now have a conditioning trainer which has made me able to box like i never thought possible stamina wise, boxing is alot more fun now ive discovered how to get in shape properly; since my comeback we have slowly gone from 4 rounds against nobodies to 10 rounds against journeyman, i have improved so much in the last year, and at 25 i still have time to improve some more and hopefully one day be able to live my dream of fighting in the big time. those that know me know im not a big mouth or arrogant, just doing my best to go about my career the right way and avoid working a normal 9 to 5 job for the rest of my life if possible.

Either way I would really like to see Chauncy in action and why not against De Mori. However I would prefer it was in Sydney

I have been in contact with Mark a couple of times before over the Email. He seems liek a very nice, bright guy.
Me and him have something in commen, we are both very well liked by the New Zealand fans, and we are not even from there.

As far as fighting him, yes, I would fight anybody just to get the great experience and be able to see more of the World.

I am sure we bumped into each other at some point in those neck of the woods. Who knows, there are only 6.3 billion people in the world, I am sure at one point we have run into one another.

Oh well, we are living in Saudi Arabia now for a year, not the hotbed of boxing, but pretty soon we'll be heading over to India. By chance if you happen to have another country adopt you like the Kiwis have and I happen to be teaching/coaching there, you have a place to stay...

I was hanging with a national champion from India who now lives and fight pro out of New Zealand, Henry Venka. He can fight.

Marlin, i assume you are talking about a fight on the 28th of this month? if so im not fighting, i was offered oscar talemaira and sio vitale as short notice opponents but i decided not to fight as neither fight would do anything for my career atm and it takes a challenge to make me train hard like i did for my last fight, if i was offered them somewhere i could showcase my skills to a new audience maybe, i fought these type of guys las year to get back into things and get some experience, those fights have their purpose, sometimes its just to get paid but i really couldnt get up for a fight like that atm.

There is no way you needed a fight like that right now and it is great that you want more of a challange! So I guess the question in now what are you working toward? Is there anything you do have lined up?

Mark would stop Oscar, with ease!

A good fight for Mark at this stage of his career would be Richard Tutaki. If Richard trains, that one could be an Asia Pacific fight of the year.

^I think he should stay away from anyone who has fought Hoppa...

richard tutaki is definately on the radar, i thought he was going to beat hoppa until hop landed that last gasp uppercut that made tutaki quit, tutaki is sparring with cameron now i think.

i have a big opportunity coming up and i am training full time for it, i will mention it when its official but until then you never know, so many promises in boxing that dont happen
