How come this isn't being shown? Will there be a Contender style TV series or something? It happens next week.

It's supposed to be shown as a six-part series on ESPN and in Britain on ITV.

To be honest I just want to see the the fights (in full).

I don't mind watching some behind the scenes training coverage but when I watched the 1st series, I couldn't stand some of the 'soap opera' behind the scenes footage and family interviews. All this over-emotional "I'm doing this for my baby boy" & "I've had to struggle all my live, I have to win this fight" stuff over and over again.

Same here, I was to see proper coverage of the Reid fight.

Sadly this is boxing meets big brother meets skating on ice meets celebrity ramsays kitchen meets pop idol. Once again the well paid minds of the media have sat down and for the 7th year running only managed to re-design the same old stuff.

I feel sorry for Ross Minter and Anthony Small in particular. Proper boxers who should never have had to consider this let alone appear.

Lets hope at least one of the fighters can see through the fog of it all.
INTERVIEWER: "Why are you in the contender series?"
BOXER: "My nuts were being squeezed"
INTERVIEWER: "You told me earlier about escaping childhood poverty through boxing.
BOXER: "I'm sorry, I lost that script on the bus"
