Kessler's the number one super middleweight in the world.

Imagine how well this will go down historically. IF JC was #2 in the Ottke era, and #2 in the Kessler era, he won't ever get in the hall of fame. You can make a case for both. Only proof otherwise would've been if he'd fought 'em both. He fought neither, so I say relegate him.

Can't wait for Amir Khan's and Alex Arthur's championship "reigns." Makes me glad the best fighters are with different promoters (Froch, Haye, Munyai & yes Hatton).

A 42 years old toothless grandpa anyone, how is 1-2 in his last 3 fights?

Or a middleweight champion who struggles and sometimes draws with light-middleweights?

Or straight away an inflated light-middleweight, whose best wins have been two close decisions over a welterweight (Mosley)?

OR the unified WBC WBA super-middlweight champion, who has anilihated Siaca, Mundine, Lucas, Beyer and Andrade in his last 5 bouts -- incidentally all top 10 fighters, with at least Mundine and Beyer ranking even higher?

Technically unifying the WBA and WBC makes you Lineal Champ, the Real Champ. So you could argue Kessler is the Lineal Champ. Some argue 1 and 2 must fight and we really NEED Calazage-Kessler ofr HISTORY!!!! The winner becomes P4P Top6 the first dominant Undisputed Super Middle Champ. Its massive historically and in terms of money even HBO will be clammering for it very soon.

Not sure who would win this 1 to be honest.

The evidence is compelling and Kessler's performance at the wkend opened as many eyes as Joe's did against LAcy.

No way any other fight should even be mooted - these two simply MUST clash, for the good of the sport, if nothing else.

Its ashame more people in Britain didnt see Kessler's performance - it was punch perfect and very exciting..

Are ITV perhaps prohibited from showing MK fights? Yeah probably! That way Barry McGiggle will be permitted to say, "Kessler, the weakest of the super middleweight champions," and Duke can get away with "Kessler, who was so average against non-punching, past it Andrade" and few will know better, hahahahhaha

Anyone who hasnt seen it should get hold of a copy - it was the sort of fight that excites you about how far this Kessler can go.

I would take Kessler over anyone betwen 160 and 175 right now..(with perhpas the exception of JC, but his easy schedule might have made the old man soft by now..)

Kessler looked superb. If Frank wants to give his man every chance, he needs to make the fight next up, right after the Manfredy warm up, otherwise it's going to be a huge ask for Joe as he heads towards the end of his career.
It's almost exactly a year since the Lacy win, and not much has happened since.
HBO will no doubt be willing to throw some money at this to make it happen, having shown both their last few fights.

Looking at that brief footage, Kessler looked wonderfully precise. He's a well built, heavy looking bloke, and it was intriguing to see him use lateral movement and more angles. Not a fluid fighter, but he was bound to have some discomfort outjabbing a giant like Andrade. I mean, you have to get near enough to hit the guy and then get out the way - not an easy thing to get right.

As ppl are saying, first rate ring generalship. He can tailor his style to fit any situation and has a really reliable style that will ensure longevity.

Put Andrade in vs an infighter - please. This guy is a monster. I know he can fight when his opponent isn't an exceptional outside boxer.

As to Kessler, that was a quality title defense. Here's hoping there will be many more!
