That's a shame. Scott was a decent fighter and he had brought boxing to Plymouth. Even though he seemed to beat every middleweight from the Midlands, i still liked him.

A great shame, especially when he'd been ranked so highly by the World bodies and was in-line for a shot at the European.

he was a talented good honest pro, i was disappointed with his showing against elcock but he gave his all against eastman and shook howard to his boots...

A shame but I think Dann had gone as far as he could and was a good British champ beating some good domestic fighters. I think the step up to European level would have been too much

It's a shame his career had to end in this manner...

I feel he still had plenty to offer on the domestic scene at least and it's a shame that a good, solid boxer can no longer compete.

I liked Dann, good solid British fighter, with a good dig on him,
shame he has retired, he could have given a good go at european level,
he wasnt world class by no means, but he gave Eastman a good fight
for aslong as it lasted.

That is a real shame. I agree Scott had probably reached his level in boxing but I always felt he had the talent to challenge for the Euro title again.

Good luck in the future Scott, you had a good career and should be proud

Dann seemed to have so much more left in him, but he's making the right decision if it meant risking more damage to his back.

He certainly had an EBU challenge in him and could still have figured in some very good British title clashes. I went down to see him defend his British titles a couple of times down in Plymouth and remember them fondly.

looked like a boy against eastman....but he really matured into a good little fighter.... by all accounts the plymouth pavillion used to rock. could have won the euro and a return with the fading eastman would have been gr8
