Will get totally overshadowed by the Contender, but Bami seems back to fitness now and will defend his European title against Lauri tonight.

So what channel is the contender on then? I couldn't see it listed.

Havn't a clue james. The Bami fight is on SS2.

I guess the contender would have to be an ITV channell if Warren's promoting, but I don't see it anywhere - not on ITV2 or 4 as far as I see.

Jesus, It's going to be bad if the US-UK contender isn't shown in one of the participating countries ffs

Bami got the decision in his rematch with Lauri but it was a poor fight - Ref from Spain was really bad - Lauri did a lot of holding but made out Bami was fouling him and got away with it, Bami losing a point - All three judges however saw through what Lauri was up to and Bami won by a large margin and rightfully so - Lauri was a late replacement thus the rematch - Their first fight was quite good but this one was frustrating to watch - Bami after the fight said he wanted Hatton and Witter which made me laugh - He is good at his level but certainly not good enough for even Witter never mind Hatton - Michael Hunter made his comeback at featherweight and had a comfortable win - He looked reasonable but was nowhere near as exciting as he has been - He needs to get his confidence back IMO by getting some good wins under his belt again before we can see him at his best - Strange seeing him on the undercard to Bami but hopefully he will be headlining again if all goes well for him - Nice lad I hope he does it.

Bami didn't look fantastic but he pulled out the win despite suffering a cut early. I think he could give Witter or Hatton problems. I knwo both stopped Lauri early but Lauri maybe better and more defensive now.

Bami has the hand speed and power to cause all kinds of fighters problems. Lauris just been tricky twice in a row.

i thought bami was very poor, showing balls in adversity is a massive part of this game, and bami went to pieces after he had been cut, in terms of his game plan and boxing ability, he lost his 'cuteness' and went 'bomb' happy....

good job lauri can not dig because bami looked 'open'. bami is no match for the witters or the hattons of this world.

Bami was poor, needs to learn how to react better to adversity - his reaction to the cuts were alarming.... I don't think they were that serious, but everytime he had a new one (and the last one was especially safe) he was dabbing away at it and looking very sorry for himself.

Fight could have gone either way IMO, both were not impressive - but justice was done cause I do think it was only one fighter who wanted to win it not via a DQ.

I'm glad it wasn't Gianluca Branco that Bami faced last night, he would have really struggled to win going by last nights performance against lauri.

Bami showed his inexperience letting the cut bother him, and also in Lauri's spoiling tactics, the Ref didn't help, but Bami was also helping the situation by not adopting the right tactics in close.
Lauri can have only himself to blame for not winning , if he spent more of his time boxing instead of trying to cheat his way to the title he may have won.

At least last night showed Bami he still has alot of work to do, he can take the fact he won when things wern't going his way, and got another 12 rounds under his belt. He needs to work on his Jab a bit more, he kind of just taps it out looking for the big right hand to follow, but this can become predictable.

A match-up with Young Muttley would be a good test for both boxers, 50-50 fight for me.

Lauri was terrible. A far worse performance this time. It seemed to me if Lauri couldn't beat Bami legitimately (like in their first match)...then cheat.
I can't believe some boxers tactics in championship fights THUMBS DOWN!.

Bami more than deserved the win, but he's nowhere near ready for Hatton or Witter. I can understand why he would want a money fight because he's probably ready to be taken at EBU level let alone a division above, but EBU/Commonwealth/British is where I think he really belongs.
