I like the price of Manfredo to beat calzaghe this saturday. William hill are offering 10/1 for Manfredo to win the fight. i think calzaghe is 1/16

is there a chance manfredo can win, do you think he as any chance of beating the Welsh man.

i know there is always a chance in a 2 horse race but has Manfredo got the tools to do the job?

Yep, aint gonna happen - I'm not sure the three judges, Dafyyd Jones, Dai Owen and Bleddyn Williams will even be needed.

I usually like to bet on underdogs to win but there very little chance of Manfredo winning this, I wouldn't take 20-1 on this fight. Even if Calzaghe breaks a hand in round 1, he should still beat Manfredo. I'd go for Calzaghe in under 7.5 rounds on this fight.

How about Calzage, Macca and Khan all to win by stoppage or KO, that might be a better bet.

Extrabet are offering 20/1 for Manfredo to win. That's wat I'm going with. Hey, I doubt very much Peter will win, but in boxing you just never know what's going to actually happen.

Worth a little flutter in my view.

what about Calzaghe ponts? Joe has serious problems with fragile hands, MAnfredo has a good chin and has never been put down, and out of the last 5 fights Joe has only scored one stoppgae... can only find 3-1 at this point though for Cal pts...

Calzaghe on points at 3-1 seems like a decent bet given his recent run of fights without getting a KO and his tendency to fight down to the level of his opponent but I just think that Manfredo is too out of his depth to survive this fight, barring a hand injury. And I think that the fact that this is going to be the 20th defence of his title will mean that Calzaghe will be up for the fight more than usual.

My play on the fight is Calzaghe to win on points @ 3/1, which has shortened from 7/2 this week, so there must have been some money for it......also Ladbrokes have round group betting so I am going to have a few quid also as a cover bet on Calzaghe rounds 1-3 at 7/2 just in case Manfredo comes out like a madman going for it and gets whacked......

My biggest bet of the weekend will be on Maccarinelli to again win in the first 3 rounds, Ladbrokes has these grouped at 11/8

I also like the look of Takaloo to beat Jennings at 11/10

Manfredo is a long shot for a reason, you'd have to be crackers to bet on him.

I've thoguht about putting money on Manfredo. Calazages open to straight rights and doesn't do as well against counter punchers. And thats Manfredos game, hes looked pretty sharp in his last 2 also. I pick Calazage but they are nice odds. I think Manfredo has a better shot than given credit for. Plus he might actually dare to think he can pull it off. If the Calazage that fought Bika shows up Manfredo might pull it off but I'd expect Calazage to bring his game up a bit.

Manfredo will be on his back inside 4 rounds. Mismatch! Or should I say, bullshit matchmaking. Suppose it's a better fight than Tocker Pudwill

one thing about all these fights which are poorly matched - they are very predictable which makes for good betting! Obviously as a spectacle I much prefer 50/50 match-ups and TBH the fight I'm most looking forward to is Jennings-Tak which along with Brook vs Young is the only well-matched fight of the bill. But hey alot of people should make some money 2nite so can't complain too much - khan under 5.5 and enzo in 3 rnds(or at least under 6.5rnds) looks like money in the bank!

The WBO are a complete joke.

Manfredo was a different fighter against Pemberton then Spina.
He rose to the occasion, and i believe he will rise again tonight.

Joe was uncharacteristically out of his game against Bika, and i believe it was because of his bad hands. He never came close to stop Bika, or even hurting him or putting him down.
I doubt very much these hands are in a better state tonight. Joe might try to quickly blow out Manfredo in the opening rounds;barring a quick bullshit stoppage by the referee a la Tatevosyan, i don't believe he will succeed.

The logical bet is a point win for Joe; +350 are great odds, +covering rounds 9 to 12 for a ko by Joe.

Think I'd predict Joe by TKO in round four...

if was coming to put some on the 2nd round. if i knew oconner was ref i would of stuck 20 each on 2,3,4,5 so would of won some.

Never felt right to bet on the possibility of a sting, which is what it was.

The fight was a farce (just as I thought) & the referee stopped it at the right time, as he knew that Manfredo had no business being in the ring with Calzaghe.

i had a tenner at 40-1 for manfredo to beat joe after round 8 - it was a dreadful stoppage, way too early!!!
