What was Fr ank Warren doing putting a fighter of Joe Calzaghe's calibre in with a next to useless plum who is only famous because he appeared on a boxing TV show?
The stoppage of the fight was a tad premature technically, but in reality, the referee did the right thing.
Manfredo was way out of his league & the ref took the 1st opportunity to stop the fight!
Fr ank Warren is now laughably talking about JC fighting Kessler, Taylor or Hopkins!
Does he expect us to believe that ANY of these fights will happen?
It is very unlikely that JC will leave Britain, yet alone Wales to fight & I can't see the others coming over here to fight him.
Fr ank Warren should have been a comedian, because in a peculiar way, he is very funny!

Talk post fight about Taylor next then Kessler is an insult to all genuine boxing fans. When will these fights happen? On the undercard of the world title shot of the winner of Skelton-Sprott? Yeah we heard it all before.

I think they'd snap up Taylor in a second. Taylor, who struggled v Ouma, failed to beat Wright and most importantly wanted fights with tourney boys Mora/Hanshaw and the ghost of Roy Jones.
If you ask me they're all as bad as each other. Kessler's a real nice alternative as he does things the proper way, in a way that he won't get laughed at.

Mora is down at middle and apparently priced himself out of a shot at Taylor.

This might be digressing, but speaking Frankly, the title suits my rant. Last night, other than the golden egg that was the Enzo betting, the whole thing was a horrible experience for me.
Enzo, Calzaghe and Khan were demeaned by opposition who were totally outclassed, and arguably didn't even live up to their more limited potential. Mismatches all three.
The Calzaghe fight should not have been stopped so early. I think it was Barry who rightly said yes, the fight MAY have not gone on much longer, but it's a world title fight ffs. And Manfredo was not getting hurt hurt, it was merely the technicality that he wasn't defending himself.
McGuigan right to point this out, and right that the fight did not show Calzaghe in a particularly good light, but overly gushing about Enzo and Khan. He was also overly dismissive about Haye imo. Questioned his chin into the bargain! Ha! Two words Barry - Lee Swaby.
And was I pissed or did ITV decide to show the Khan fight in Its entirity TWICE on ITV1, and then give the likes of Pryce and Jennings a combined 15 seconds? Gee thanks.

Priced himself out of a shot at Taylor?
What is it with these Contender fighters?
A few appearances on TV & they start thinking they're Sugar Ray Robinson!!!!

Taylors going after Roy Jones after Spinks and BHOPs and Winky are tied up. Miranda maybe an option but dangerous and not a massive name.

Taylor won't end up fighting RJJ. RJJ demanded triple his purse vs Hanshaw, which has almost killed the fight. Gary Shaw tells RJJ, ok if YOU want to promote go for it. No way RJJ gets any big fight unless he gets by 'The Han.'
I think they'll get fed up of dealing with Jones and that Shaw will try and get Hanshaw a shot at Calzaghe. Not in Wales or Manchester, though. In America, definitely.
I do think that Taylor may try to cash in after Spinks. He wants his money and then get out of the sport. Warren is going to offer £2.4 mil by all accounts, for the Mil-Stadium. Jermain can also skip his difficult mandatory, Pav/Miranda, who knows?

deffinatly a bad fight... thought Maguigan was funny in his oppinions about haye. In my view Haye has been in much better fights at the weight and it shows how much more his european title means as compaired to Maccranelli's "world" title.
