Winky and Bernard are fighting in July - that rules them two out.
Jermain is fighting Spinks and wont be ready for July - thats him out.
Kessler has turned down an offer? so thats him out.
Johnson(Glen), Woods all have fights coming up - their out for July.
Who else? No big names are availible ofr July - I can live with that(well not really) BUT please at least a real contender - I mean fck it give someone like frochy a go at least! If its another Pudwill,Bika and then another promise of a big name NEXT time I think I might loose it! Seriously!

Lets make something clear here. a week or so ago Kessler said to the danish press that he wil not be able to fight for a another 5-6 months. Maybe Warren heard that and was quick to "offer" a july fight?

is he injured?

D'you suppose many would complain about Froch? It's a fight I'd love to see. Problem is that Carl's too dangerous considering his level of fame.

I hope everything else falls through for Joe to be honest. Not that we wouldn't get another 'classic', but at least it'd be obvious then that Calzaghe respects Froch.

I'd have a sneaky bet on the Silvio Branco/Stipe Drews winner. There really is nothing out there in the 'super fight' league at SM or LHW for July.
Look for Glen Johnson or Antonio Tarver as fall-back options as well.

He might do... the ref stopped the fight so quickly he didn't even have time to break one of his hands.

Because of his old back injuries he cant fight more than twice a year. He needs to rest 2-3 months after each fight.

Doesn't matter, Joe will not fight in July. Last time he fought within 3 months was 1998.

I'd settle for Erdei or Dawson

But seriously there aren't any of those "MEGA" fights that can be made for July.

Froch or Inkin would be decent also.

I'm sceptical of any light heavyweight. Joe wants to match Sven Ottke's record of 21 defenses and surpass it, then probably take it to 25. IMO every fight will be for the WBO (and Ring) 168 crown.

Might be better for them to get Inkin or Froch dealt with. I think Froch would be marketable because of his punch & arrogance.
Joe will not fight in July.
I'm sure they'd like to capitalise on last weekend's show and extend the # of title defenses. Last fight was so easy & there's plenty of reason to make a quick reappearance.

Mundine, Inkin or Froch. Assuming that the Taylor and Kessler fights are unmakeable.

Mundine would be a good fight, cant see it. He might fight Inkin he wont touch Froch.

Its got to be Mundine, especially with that flag burning stuff. It would sell over here and in Aus.

Hell, why not send Joe to Aus to fight him.
