Yes, that's correct. He was British - based out of Sheffield, born in Nottingham according to Boxrec. I doubt he had too much Irish blood...but a fair bit of African/W.Indian!

His real name was Fidel Castro Smith, but he fought as Slugger O'Toole - I can't remember if he changed back to Fidel etc as a ring name at some stage.

Was the victim of the worst decision I have ever seen when he fought Henry Wharton - there can't be anyone in the world who could call Wharton the winner except the referee that night.

Yes, a middle/Super-middleweight who fought Henry Wharton in 92 and lost a contriversial points decision for the British & Commonwelth 12st Titles.

He was an Ingle fighter who started his professional career as Slugger O'Toole but eventually reverted to his birth name of Smith.

He was a good fighter. After the Wharton fight his record wasn't so good - perhaps he was so disgusted by the verdict that he lost a bit of interest and "go". I think I saw his fight against Nardiello and if I remember correctly he was a bit disappointing in that one. After that he went into a series of losses and left the game.
