Floyd is a big mouth but he walks the walk in the ring and he should be respected for taking this fight against such a bigger man... if he beats Oscar then it will be a great performance...

I actually thought Floyd was the most sensible one of the Mayweather's. His father and Uncle (especially) had bigger gobs. Roger played the race card after the hearing.... a bit rediculous really and he seemed about as sorry for his antics as allegedly was for Audley when Danny put him down.

I think Mayweather is playing up to the camera's a bit, but he's taken it a little to far.
I certainly want to see De La Hoya win, but think he starts a big underdog.
Roger Mayweather was a good boxer, and i used to like to watch him fight, but this promo didn't do him any favours.
Still can't quite see who's pulling the strings for Mayweather Jnr, he says that Uncle Roger is the man in charge, so why bring his dad back in?
Think that show's De La Hoya that he's slightly worried about what Oscar brings to the ring, trying to get the inside knowledge on any weaknesses.

Both fighters(especially Floyd)are playing upto the camera's,but what else can you expect when this fight has had something like a ten city tour to promote it

That tells you right there that Floyd and co had zero to do with making that doc, and it was an exercise in cranking up Oscar's good guy image - something, I have to say, that isn't reflected in the way Oscar has conducted his career - dumping trainers & early backers left right and centre.

Floyd did say at the start of the programme that someone has to be the bad guy, and he was going to play the part to the full.

I don't Floyd is as bad as he's portrayed sometimes, remember in the Judah fight, When all his Corner were going mad, he just stood away from it in a neutral corner, He knew if he got involved than he'd stand a chance of getting disqualified. Shows he knows when to act and when to stay out of it. Maybe he plays up to it when the camera's are there.

I don't think it was...HBO would be a bit more even handed - must say their promos are the best in the world, can't be beat & the amateurs at Sky should take note. Sky promos look like they cost about 10 quid.

The more I think about it, the more I like mayweather in this one.

As MW says, you can almost put this fight down as a DLH testimonial.

Can you really see SKY bothering to do a four part build up on a fight not even on PVP? And calling it the same as the HBO four part build up? With no British fighters involved?

My thoughts exactly. You can see why he is such a bellend being raised by this class of person. An interview this morning off fightnews with Roger really put me off the guy, meaningless gangsta gibberish with the word "f#ck" basically used for punctuation.

Anyone thinking DLH will beat or knock out PBF is deluding themselves though. PBF is just going to be way too quick and clever for him. I hope he gets his own Glencoffee Johnson/RJJ night eventually.

Well, we shall see, I initially went for Floyd, and thought Oscar had little chance, but that was before it was scheduled at 154, and Oscar showed that he still had quite a bit left in the tank in his last fight.

Mayorga is no Mayweather in any shape or form.

Yes, I am aware of that OBVIOUSLY. Initially I was not impressed, as Mayorga was clearly tailor made.

However, Mayorga is a big strong lad, and what DID impress me was Oscar's power at the weight, at this stage of his career.

Moving up in weight against a fighter of Oscar's class and big fight experience, to a weight bracket you are totally unproven in, is a big ask, even for Floyd, and I am not of the opinion that he is superhuman either, because no fighter is.

Floyd is a great technician, but the fact he won't be able to (we surmise) hurt Oscar, I think is going to be a decisive factor.

I think that Mayweather will have to much speed for Oscar, the boxer to push Mayweather close was Jose Luis Castillo, and he did that by being in Floyds face for the whole of the 12 rounds, and i can't see Oscar doing that, as its not his style.

The only way i see Oscar winning is by taking Floyd out with a big shot, and Oscar has the 1 shot power to do this.

I've gone back and forth on this 1 allot. But am going for Mayweather UD, DLH is better than anyone Mayweathers faced though, the biggest, the hardest hitter, the strongest, the most skilled, faster than most (Judahs faster). I think Mayweather has the accuracy, defense, workrate, speed and yes the chin to win the UD though. I also think DLH can be too upright and mechanical. Mayweather should figure him out.

I don't buy DLH nice guy act and Mayweather bad guy act at all. DLh is supposefly slimmy and low behind closed doors and he can come across asa phony. Mayweather can seem pleasant and decent when the cameras aren't around.
