Fana-Klassen spoiler

Put this up as a spoiler just in case anyone's downloading the fight. Anyway, Fana won a split decision over Klassen to become the new IBF 130lb champion. Klassen was regarded as the weak link at super featherweight, and this result probably confirms that. I now fully expect Frank to target Fana for Alex Arthur........ except for the fact that the WBO title is being vacated by Guzman.
Thoughts?

Unexpected, but not surprising. I think you're right about Warren, although his special relationship with the WBO might end up being the deciding factor with regards to where Alex Arthur goes.

Fana and Klassen will probably rematch, and Arthur will go for the WBO strap against Gogoladze. Wouldn't surprised if he tried to unify with one of those two in the next year or so, though.

Comeback for Dean Pithie?
Barrera handled Fana so easily, I think people criticised Barrera more so than Calzaghe for taking on Manfredo.... now Fana is a world champion.
People were asking what route Carl Johanneson should take... there's the answer.

yeah this would be a great route for carl to take as he would have a real shot at winning the belt even in south africa.any decent 130 pounder should be licking their lips at the prospect of winning the IBF title as fana is ordinary.

This is mad - Klassen looked outstanding against St Clair.
I need to see this before I believe it.

Arthur isn't even in the IBF's rankings anymore. Cheques obviously bounced. I thought as part of the ALI Act sanctioning bodies has to explain their rankings changes

The way Mitchell's In the IBF rankings and Arthur's not.

Ah well, Arthur looks a lock for a title. No way he would've lost to Fana! Shame they only mention it AFTER Guzman. Guzman's stamina is so shitty & his weight is so wrong that Arthur may have been able to take him.

Final Fight you had me believing the Klassen hype after reading your reports on the St. Clair fight! Now he loses to Fana who was exposed as a South African level guy. It was split though, rematch i expect.

I can see why Fana could compete with him what with Klassen having zero power. But I won't believe this until I see it.
Klassen outclassed St Clair and looked wonderful - even Graham Houston admitted Klassen was "special."
It's Arthur time! Vacant WBO and 50 defenses! Bring it on!
