First round knockouts happen...thats the nature of the sport
but if we're talking worst titlist
the mighty Akinwande springs to mind

Akinwande isnt that bad, but did lose his bottle against Lewis. In his prime he would have given lots of recent titlists a good run for their money.
A contender for worst HW challenger has to be Peter Okhello. WTF is he?

If we start including the WBO title this gets ugly very quickly . . .

Ignoring the “title” defenses of the incomprehensible last few decades -- Joe Roman, JP Coopman, Scott Frank, Pete Rademacher, Chuck Wepner, Randy Cobb, Jewey Smith… and a host of others.

In a way I agree, but the fact that he was making his pro debut certainly has to make him one of the least qualified. While Pete was eventually allowed to develop as a pro and he did score a few good wins later in his career, it’s most likely that the Rademacher that made his pro debut would have had a pretty tough time with just about anyone else who fought for the HW championship, including guys like Roman, Wepner and Frank.
And as a reward for dropping Patterson, he got to fight Folley in his second fight…
