George Blades!! Who exactly?!

Another unknown hot on the heels of Danny Santiago the last hapless fodder put in front of the talented Hungarian. When will the opposition level rise i ask? The WBO are sanctioning shite left, right and centre.

Santiago was game and seems to be the nicest guy in Boxing but he was lacking in world class ability, as was Aussie Paul Murdoch who was so basic it was sad to watch.

I wanted to see Erdei pitch his skills with the best, after the last fight he said he wanted a unification or a big fight in the US

Meh..zsolt is not that great, I'd only make him a slight favorite against Clinton Woods

He's a smart fighter but I think his reputation is overblown also.

Its easy to look great when you're facing bums. I saw the fight with sahnoune, what a sloppy affair...in fact, the more I think of it, he doesn't even look that great facing bums. LHW isn't great at the moment but dawson would KO him, as would Briggs, maybe even a shot tarver, Adamek.

What was worst is that before the Erdei fight Danny Santiago was involved in a tournament (that never actually finalised) that the winner would have won the IBO (or was it IBA) world title. Out of the four boxers involved.... Santiago looked like a world beater.

Erdei's level of competition is probably the worst of any reigning world champion, with the possible exception of Wonjongkam.

Wonjongkam fights some shite doesn't he? He gets in with guys who hold like 4-6 records and stuff, for a supposed world champion it's a disgrace. How he gets away with it i do not know, thing is he is decent as well and i would have given him a fair chance of beating Arce if they had met which they won't.

Wonjongkam's career surprises me, he beats up a no hoper Japanese guy in a mismatch and everyone tuts and sighs but he is lined up for a rematch with the same opponent i hear? And was even before they fought the first time! Is this a sick joke

The way he handled Gonzalez (better than Woods did, for example) tells me he could handle the likes of the straight forward Briggs and old man Tarver.

I would give Dawson a good shot at beating him but its far from a foregone conclusion in my eyes.

Erdei's title opposition has been poor, but that doesnt make him a poor fighter.

He did handle Gonzalez very well.....but not sure if it was more convincing than Woods. I thought both handled the overated Mexican pretty easily and on the same level.

I still the Erdei lost twice to Garay.

Who was it on this forum who described 175lb's as 'a bloody loop'? Glittermonkey? Whoever it was, they weren't wrong. Gonzalez is a shit opponent for Woods. Yet Woods also spent an eternity at the top of the IBF rankings. But Blades? Who? He makes Bobby Gunn look acceptable.
