I've just come back from the weigh in. Haye 217, Bonin 231

That's 15 Stone 7. That sounds about perfect. I'm glad to hear Haye's come in that light, he was aiming for about another stone in weight originally, but at 235 I think he'd have been far too bulky.

He's only about 15 over his normal fighting weight, which I think should suit him just fine.

Nice weight to come in at. Looking forward to seeing this heavyweight David Haye although part of me just wants ot out of the way as I'm dying to see Haye-Mormeck.

Haye claims he's only has about 7% body fat weighing 217lbs. I think that's an exaggeration some-what. If his body fat % is anywhere near as low that, then there's no way he'll make 200lbs again.

Haye is muscular, but damn, 7%?

Defeat for Haye is unthinkable at the moment....but it'll be interesting to see what happens if a heavyweight manages to connect with a half decent punch - Mock was around 168 when he put David over.

One thing that worries me about Haye, is that he seems to have a rather long slender neck to campaign at heavyweight. If you look at most natural heavyweights, they have short thick necks, and are barrel chested. Haye is muscular and broad shouldered, but the overall impression if of a fit, atheltic, but generally slender man. Slender is relative of course, but I am comparing him to successful natural heavyweights of recent times.

When he was hit by mock, it was right on top of the head as I recall, or rather just above the temple, which obviously is going to compress the neck more.

None of this will be relevant if Haye is able to stay out of harms way, or is able to bomb Bonin out early (which would be a surprise), but like you, I do wonder how he's going to react if he gets a big clump on the chin from Bonin.

Its not reccomended you go below 7% body fat is it, not that I'd be able to grace that type of percentage, I'd be lucky to dip below 17%.

Yeah it's true those temple shots can sometimes have a weird effect on anyone, though the chin rumours were always there, even before the Mock fight.

I wouldn't be surprised if he blasted out Bonin early - he should test that chin early if possible, because he doesn't want to be hanging around too long with a heavyweight.

I think Haye will probably try to drill Bonin early on with some big right hands, to at the very least keep him in negative mode. It's a tricky one though, throwing big shots always leaves the risk of being countered, though Haye is surely going to be a lot faster than the big man?

I think your right in thinking Haye will go out throwing those big right hands, In Bonins last fight he was decked by a guy having his 1st pro fight, so haye will fancy knocking him over early.
Only thing is Bonin may not cave in , and if he's still there after 6 rounds then Haye may find himself in trouble.

Haye should win this, probably on points but I just cant see him beating the top heavies, I dont think he has the chin or the stamina to do so... someone like Samuel Peter or the Klitchenko brothers would flatten him imo...

Thats true, my mate had a 4% body fat and was really recommended for him to put on some weight. He eat fine, but trained like a mad man.

He's up to about 8% now.

I don't think Haye is 7% he's a little higher than that. Although depends on the machine used.... some are less accurate than others.

I agree Haye will come out blazing and try to rip through Bonin similarly in the way he did with the likes of Glenn Kelly and Arthur Williams. Question is how will he react if Bonin stays upright?

Bonin has had some awful opposition and that recent video doing the rounds showed he can be pretty inept at times as well as capable. This is a smart move for Haye as Bonin's record majorly flatters him. Any enough rambling i hope David Haye does the business and KO's Bonin tomorrow night.

Haye will blow this chump out early. Audley took 9 and a ref-assisted win, but as we know Audley is totally inept and clueless.

My thinking is that Haye will try to impose himself in the first couple of rounds his jab is becoming more of a force to be recond with so he will proberbly try to back him up with that befor unloading big shots. After that if bonin is still there he will use bonin fighting on the back foot to get a breather and build up a points advantage then try some bombs again about 8-10 Haye KO 10 (unless its a 12 round fight in which case Im less sure).
