Some of what he says is accurrate. The sport has been declining in popularity (at least in the United States) for years. Most of the general public would have no idea who Floyd Mayweather is or anyone besides De La hoya is. Mayweather isn't the kind of guy who is going to carry this sport in the future. Boxing has always gone up and down in popularity. however, it's doubtful that it had been low before and certainly not for this long.
Even sports like golf,ice skating,and tennis are on network TV occasionally. It's not on free network TV at all in the United States anymore.

I think that the only free network that you can find boxing is on the Spanish channel Telemundo. Usually Saturdays at 11:00 pm eastern time. And the fights are only for prospects; they never show a title fight.
