WHAT DO YOU RECKON ON MICKY STEEDS BOXING AT CRUISERWEIGHT IT LOOKS LIKE HE,S FINALY GOT HIS HEAD TOGETHER AND FOUND HIS SELF A NEW TRAINER (MARK ROWE)AND STARTED TO TAKE THE GAME A BIT MORE SERIOUS ID LIKE TO SEE HIM FIGHT TOMMY EASTWOOD FOR A ELIMINATER (BRITISH) TO SEE IF HE CAN MAKE IT IN THE DIVISION

Interesting development.
Yep, I think Steeds could get quickly into the British title mix. I think Steeds would probably start as a slight favourite over Keeton if he beats someone like Eastwood (to show he makes the weight well).
Mark Krence would be a welcome addition too.
Although, if somehow Danny vacates the British title at Heavy and none of the big guys in the devision (Skelton, Sprott, Harrison) or Gammer are involved than Steeds would start as favourite over anyone else. Very doubtful this will happen mind, so its a good call IMO.

Haye the best heavy in UK. Steeds at crusier would beat Keeton, but why NORTON avoided. Who will put on Hobson V keeton 2 , i see sportsnetwork do not want too

Good reason why Rob is avoided: he’s too dangerous.
Rob is an excellent counter-punching southpaw who can seriously bang. Eastwood, in their vacant English title fight, was only caught by one flush by Rob and his legs went.
That was that.
I asked Rob about Mickey Steeds and he said he'd fight him.
However, Rob is fighting Gregory Hidvégi (sp) in June or July for the WBF cruiserweight title. Norton still wants the British title but was told he would have to wait at least 12 months before Keeton would defend against him.
Keeton has pulled out of two fights with him before and it was a disgrace that Norton didn’t get a shot at the vacant title in October. Instead they put Lee Swaby in, a man Rob has beaten.
Tom Podmore.

If Steeds has the discipline and drive to drop 39lb to fight at Cruiserweight, I'll crawl naked to Lands End.

WELL THAT AINT A NICE THING TO SAY ABOUT ANY BOXER I WAS JUST POINTING OUT THAT HE.S TRAINING A LOT HARDER SINCE HE LOST ON POINTS TO SCOTT GAMMER (BRITISH) AND I THINK HE,LL SUPRISE A LOT OF PEOPLE COMMING IN AT CRUISERWEIGHT HIS BEST WINS BEFORE HE WAS PRO WAS AT AROUND 14st 7lbs I THINK THE ONLY PERSON TO GIVE HIM ANY TROUBLE ON THE DOESTIC SEEN (ENZO & HAYE) EXCLUDED WOULD BE NORTON JUST BECAUSE HE,S A VERY CRISP AND STRONG COUNTER PUNCHER WHO,S BEEN AVOIDED BUT I THINK MICKY,S GOT THE HART OF A LION AND WOULD RELISH THE CHALLANGE

With scenarios like this, I am always delighted to be proved wrong.
However, it's a very real world we live in.

I have to say I remember Steeds from early 2000s training in the peacock and i was shocked when he turned pro at heavy, but I guess back then the cruiser limit of 13st 8 was gonna be very hard to make.
Like Southpaw said when he was doing well on the unlicensed scene he was under 15stone with no weight cutting if memory serves me right.
