there was talk, but surely its not going to happen? Is it?

1rd, he may last 2 if he's really really lucky, runs like an olympic sprinter and vitali has been buzzed by one of those flashy things off-a men in black.

You always hear that Greenburg is going to fight a big name next, then it all goes quiet , and he ends up fighting a nobody

NO WAY! will he end up in with VK, WK, Sam Peter, even James Toneys mum would beat him. hes better off going for the Gammers and Sprotts of the world (beats gammer loses to sprot imo) but at least thats betteer than getting murdered by VK

There could well be more money in getting murdered against Klitschko, than in fighting Gammer or Sprott.

If this is true, sounds like they are cashing out on Roman to me. One nice payday at the end of his career, surely they cannot believe he's going to do a number on the iron chinned Vitali?

I don't know, if Greenberg comes in in shape, has a great camp and his mind is really on the job, he might end up lasting three.

...strides into his ring walk.

Is this some sort of sick joke? The "first billion dollar" heavyweight stepping up to fight Vitali?! Well after his destruction of Steve Pannell and the points win over Michael Simms he is obviously on stellar form.

Mr. McDonnell is spot on, they are cashing in on Greenberg after realising he is overhyped, overweight and generally not very good. Why am i even getting worked up, it won't happen anyway.

i don't understand why anyone ever touted greenberg as a big prospect. I can honestly say that I never rated him. he's always been a fat lazy plodder...what else were people seeing?

He may survive the ring walk but I don't know if he can take Vitali's touch of gloves.

Greenberg is clearly going nowhere. If he was, even the most cautious of matchmakers would have pushed him on a little by now. But they haven't, and he's looking no better, and perhaps a little worse, than he did 3 years ago.

This way, he'll get huge exposure to that big American market place that Leon Trotsky and the rest of the objective writers at Secondsout keep telling us could make Greenberg a gazillionairre, while not losing any face bacause he enters as such a huge underdog. That creates publicity for any comeback and gives them one last shot of making something of the boy.

In that context, you can see the logic of them taking the fight. Greenberg, after all the initial publicity and quack-quack when he turned pro, has fallen off the radar and he's lost almost all of his credibility in the eyes of the mainstream boxing fans. So he doesn't really have anything to lose, and at least this way he'll get back into the limelight.

This is just to create some popularity for Greenberg. This fight won’t happen.

Greenburg wouldn't beat Skelton, Sprott, Haye, Williams, Gammer or even Harrison. Klitschko will kill him. Then again, Romans used to like that kind of thing

Don't be so mean, I'm fairly sure he'll last more than 2 punches into the fight

maybe 4
