In a preview to one of the Wamba/Duran fights in 1991, Paul Dempsey was talking about Wamba being undefeated, where analyst Mason pointed out "well i was out with him in Vegas and he got into a fight, and he got knocked clean out, so he has lost, hehehe"

WTF do you think happened there then?

Who the frick stepped up to a crew that included the likes of Mason and Wamba and iced the man from the Congo?

He must of been the hardest scariest street fighter of all time!!! (so not Joe Savage then)

I remember Gary Mason talking about this as well. Mason seemed to find it a little amusing.

I got the impression Mason wasn't with Anaclet Wamba he just witnessed it, but that was just my impression (I've not seen this coversation since it was aired).

Maybe it was a sucker punch or maybe the security guy (I heard it was a doorman) was a World class Martial artist of some sort? Who nows, either way it's still an impressive 'notch' to get on your sword.

Or maybe the security gaurd was related to Mr Notice?

Another story doing the rounds at that time was when a sub 9st Jeff Fenech beat the living crap out of a 250lbs Las Vagas security gaurd outside some casino. :box:
