by Chauncy
Hey all. N2Shape has negotiated for me to fight Haumono June 28 in Auckland, New Zealand.
I know this man is very strong, but I will be very ready for him. I know he is better than his experience would leave one to believe, but again, I will be very well prepared as this will be a big fight fo rme and will be televised throughout Austailia and New Zealand.
Hope to make a good impression! :box:
:D  :TU:

I can only repeat what I said in the other thread:
:o Wow

How is your chin Chauncy??? I'm not sure that Soloman is ready for someone with your level of experience but if he hits you, you stay hit!!! In his last performance he still looked to have a little ring rust (he was breathing pretty heavy) from his 4 year lay off. But for a bloke with only 10 pro fights he looks to have the goods. And lets not forget that he is trained by the legendary Johnny Lewis!!!
I will add that I am really pleased that Soloman is stepping it up, I really didn't think that it would be against a bloke with 31 wins but there you go!? What is the format of the fight? 6x3???

I hope you do well Chauncy but I'm going to have a hard time cheering for you against one of Australia's best prospects! :-?

I honestly can't see Johnny Lewis taking the fight at this stage of the game.

They accepted, all they need to do now is show up.
It has been said I take no tough fights, but this is a very tough fight, and my team is very ready for this fight, and if it doesn't happen, that will be on team Haumono.

Dissappointed your not fighting Holmes but hopefully if you win against this rising prospect, it will drag out Cameron or Kali. That or send them back to their holes. Maybe Bostice will show interest for a rematch if you win. However this kid represents everything a tough fight is. Tough opponent, no real name out of NZ, not ranked even close to you so won't really increase your ranking and KO power. However I hope this fight causes a bigger one to come up.

You'll know if they're gunna show up when Lewis signs the contract. As a rule, he doesn't stitch-up deals on a handshake...so to speak.

Soloman has a name in NZ, just not much of one in boxing. He was a rugby league player prior to his boxing career, so any rugby mad Kiwi (pretty much the entire country) should know who he is. He's also been pretty heavily hyped in Australia, and there's nothing the Kiwi's love more than taking out an Aussie, so I would imagine it'll generate a lot of interest there.

Interesting fight for Soloman to take at this stage of his career. If they intend to go through with the fight, it shows he's serious about making some noise IMO. I haven't seen his last fight, but if he gassed as easily as I've read on here I give Chauncy a real chance to outwork him for a UD.

Best of luck to both guys. Hopefully it leads to bigger and better things for both.

Chauncy is a Kiwi-American And he'll be fighting for New Zealand on June 28th! Your right, theres nothing more a kiwi enjoys better than beating an Aussie!

Like Chauncy said its all on Haumono!

As Anton said - "where is the contract???"

I will believe it when you have piece of paper thats says Solo and Johnny are coming to NZ - until then it is heresay and just another 'hype fight'.

Chauncey - do you guys have a contract signed / in place?

I recieve my contract in the next few days. Craig, N2Shape, negotiated this fight for me, and I believe it to be a go as the card it will be on is massive by NZ standards.

I do though agree with you guys too about the contract. Even contracts mean nothing these days. You never know til you get in the ring and the bell rings! :TU:

Contracts might not mean much in NZ & maybe US, but New South Wales Boxing Authority, with which Solo is registered, is very strict. If he fails to honour a contract....... lenghty suspension will follow.

The comment was a gee-up. I decided to delete it as some might take it the wrong way.

Maybe you could sanction the Kanga Island Heavyweight title for this fight Anton.

Maybe....Hmmmm…..I’ll have to discuss it with fellow directors.
I’m sure when I point out to them $ is a $ they’ll come good.

I'm really not sure what the gameplan would be? Haven't seen a tape yet, but got one coming now.
It all also depends on how many rounds this fight is? I would prefer more rounds than 6, but I know they wont go for that. They seem very prtective of this guy, and Johnny Lewis is a very smart man, so the ball is in their court and I give the OK for anything from our side. :TU: :D

I really wish I had seen you fight Chauncy so I could judge how this will go. Soloman will stalk you, he will take wahtever you've got and keep marching forward, he will cut off the ring and punish you in the corner. Of course that is based on his fights against blokes with losing records. But I can assure you his power is not fictional, how are you at taking a hit Chauncy? Or do you plan on not having to find out :D

I hope to not get hit, but I'm sure I will end up getting hit. I have a very fair chin I would say. I don't like ot brag, but I've been pounded on it by many World champions, and haven't been down, but of course, that's only sparring.
I just hope all comes together, as his team has agreed to the matchup, so I'm sure ti will happen if the Johnny Lewis is as credible man as I've heard??? :TU: :box:

I hope you kick his ass. But the guy is strong, I'll give him that. You're gonna have to move nicely to keep him from pinning you on the ropes and wailing away, but I'm sure you figured that out when you saw the tape.

Shane Cameron's manager Ken Reinsfield has sent me the card for June 28

Your on the same card as Cameron just like with Butler. You planning on using the event to challenge either fighter or figuring that it is a buildup to a fight with either fighter.

Touch Odd. The promoter doesn't want the show listed as yet, so I've taken it out.
