RIP DIEGO CORRALES

Died in a motorbike crash this morning, just 29... a real throwback warrior to the good old days when fighters werent afraid to fight the best... Chico wasnt afraid of anyone... RIP...
You are a dickhead for writing something like this about a man who just died. Whatever your view is you should keep it to yourself.Decagon wrote:I don't feel too bad about his death. Sure, the baby won't know his father, but how well should he know a "father" who beat up his mother (when pregnant) and threw her down a flight of stairs? Never forget that as boxing fans, we gain pleasure off of true psychopaths, and that their problems almost always extend beyond the ring. Diego Corrales exemplified almost as far bad a man can go: brutally beating his pregnant wife. Yeah, it might've been Justin Juuko on the phone, pulling his chain, but as a father, I'll always view him as the beater of a pregnant wife, rather than as a fighter. I'm a FATHER first, and a fight fan only on a secondary or tertiary level.
If he was a psychopath then you'd probably have got on very well with him as you come across as one yourself... he had problems in his life and had made mistakes, but he had paid the price for them and turned his life around, can you say the same for yourself??... if youre half as crazy off the net as you are on it then I feel for anyone who has to live with you, or are you just a keyboard warrior who is bullied by his mother still... what you've said here is beneath contempt!!.....Decagon wrote:I don't feel too bad about his death. Well good for you, I'm not condoning what Chico did but we're talking about something that happened about 8 years ago now, Chico served his time and as far as I know never did anything like that again, he was a erratic and troubled person but also had many good points and many of the people who knew him loved him... and nows not the time to bring up his faults and past mistakes when the guy has just died, have some respect... I'm sure Chico's faults didnt stop you watching him put his life and health on the line in the ring for your entertainement...Decagon wrote:I spend 45 hours a week taking care of my son, and I work. I'm a real father, and while Chico's death is tragic, beating up a pregnant woman is something that doesn't go away easily for me.

Then why keep bringing it up?... its well known that Corrales loved his kids and was good with them, ...how about talking about some of his positive aspects?...Decagon wrote:I really don't want to continue this subject, but no, they didn't work it out. They divorced before 2001 (I'm pretty sure), and I don't even know if the baby was brought to term. The incident took place in summer of 2000.
