Not sure whether you mean Leonard or Robinson but the result would be the same in this one.

Mayweather is a top fighter with a lot of skill but he's too small to take on these guys. Over 15 rounds Mayweather would get stopped.

I think that matching Mayweather with guys around 135-140 makes for a better debate.

In response to the thread question I think SRL is just too big and strong for Mayweather and his handspeed was like lightning, so I think he could've caught Mayweather flush over and over and with his ability to throw combinations and his power. I think he'd eventually take out PBF just like he did Mayweather Sr., only more competetive.

I pick SRL by decision. He is not going to KO the Pretty Boy. Hey, this fight should be billed: " The Battle of the 2 Greatest Pretty Boys of All Time"

Leonard by decision.

I would favor Leonard to win a close decision. In a 15 round fight.. i'd favor a wide decision. Mayweather is extremely fast but Leonard at his peak had comparable hand speed. Mayweather has a great jab.. Leonard had several great punches. I just see Mayweather making it as competitive as he can against a bigger fighter who is just as skilled and more experienced, ultimately losing a close decision.

I can't believe some actually consider Floyd winning this. He's beating ONE real welter his career (the slow and limited Baldomir) and wins a close decision over a smei-retired OScar and now's he's an all time great welterweight???

At 147, vs the likes of Sugar Ray (both of them), Duran, Ike Williams . . . .he gets plastered.

Yep, that sounds about right. Unfortunately, the “weight class skipping” that goes on now, where a fighter wins a few fights at one weight and then proceeds to move up and beat one or two guys in the next class, without ever really establishing themselves as the best is really pathetic. While FMj did beat two of the top WWs, it’s hard to say that he’s really proven that he’s the best WW because there are a number of other guys that would present different styles, skills and physical challenges that he’s probably never seen before. I think if he actually stayed at 147 and tried to truly clean out the division, he would lose at lest one fight, but as it is he gets away with beating a couple guys in a handful of weight classes, and now many say he’s one of the best of all time.

In the days before the 24hr weigh in and the weight cutting, would Floyd have been able to make 135 or would he have fought at 147?

I've heard he walks around at 150lb but I can't remember the source so not sure if it's accurate.

Mayweather isn't as good as Leonard... and even then, Leonard is a real Welterweight... Leonard also beat a great defensive fighter in Benitez... Leonard by decision/late TKO...
