Anderson vs Magee

Not much interest in this one from the board....so Im guessing everyone thinks is a foregone conclusion? I suppose Magee has never been the same since that terrible beating he took a few years back - just before the biggest fight of his life was about to take place(vs sharma mitchell) too. I'd like to see Magee do well but I suppose anderson will nip in and out to claim a UD(cant seeing him denting magee who is hard as nails and TBH anderson hasnt really looked like the puncher he did earlier in his career)

Ando will be to busy, and Magee mobility looks terrible after his accident, the Scotsman by wide UD

8/11 is lower, much lower, than I was hoping - hey-ho

Ladbrokes have Ando at 4\9 and 13\8 or 22/1 for a draw

Kevin Anderson for me, support my fellow Scot...

Shame the bout is in Motherwell though - what a dump.

Magee has been dismissing Anderson in the Irish News claiming he is one dimensional and like watching paint dry, seemingly Eamonn feels his greater experience will tell and he will take Anderson to school. However you can't see Magee lasting the hot pace Ando will set very easily and i expect a wide points win too for the Scotsman.

My bad, well interest in the last 12hrs then  By the way mate, you wouldnt know any decent pubs in leicester that would show the boxing? If I get desparate I go to The Graduate( DMU bar) but sometimes the guy refuses to put it on and its noisy as hell in there - they dont play the sound just some crappy music and I like listening to commentary.

Sorry mate I can't help you with that. I always try and avoid watching Boxing in bars, too noisy and too many drunk idiots shouting "use the jab" over and over again.

Yates on Belvior St has SKY I think but have no idea if they show Boxing. The Walkabout on Granby St shows a lot of sports but again no idea about if they show Boxing.

I stay at home were it is more peacfull and watch in on my TV. :TU:

I give Magee a bit of a shout... He looked shot vs Tak, but Tak boxed quite unlike him and tried to make Magee initiated the action. A good tactic against a fighter who suffered a major leg injury.

Anderson though will be taking the fight to Magee, Eamonn is an accurate (if not the biggest) puncher and could catch Anderson on the counter ala his KO of Thaxton.

LOL, Student bar or Theme Pub Hell: the lesser of two evils. Though have to say even watching boxing in a traditional boozer hasn't been all that great for me. At home alone or with a small group is best if you really want to try and absorb what you're watching, IMO.

A sneaky feeling that Magee wins this one.

Anderson lost last time to Ali and before that was floored by Mutley who is a light welterweight.

A lot of pressure on him to win this one and if he does not get a good start I can see Magee starting to take the fight from him , would not be surprised to see a KO win.

'Big' Joe Egan only has one bit of advice to fighters he watches: "Use the uppercut."
