He beat Kindelan, Kindelan won the Olympics and when you win the Olympics you get a WBC #5 ranking. Khan has cause for complait with this low ranking. It is a disgrace.

Well, there's every possibility than Khan will rise up the rankings without fighting anyone decent, staying unbeaten is often enough to rise up the rankings to the top in this day and age.

this tells you one thing. when khan is halfway ready and a vacant belt turns up, well you know the rest.

Hard fight for both men. Both have had to come through tests and IMO have passed with flying colours...Inkin did this with veit and froch did so with magee. Would say Carl hads that unshakeable belief but Inkin's the more organised, skilled, etc, the guy who looks like he knows what he's doing in there.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. Once he wins the vacant WBO title, probably against someone like Wayne Mcullough, he'll be removed from the rankings. Problem solved!

WBU route looks far safer, dunno if FW will risk the WBO esp not yet

for me a bigger annoyance is why he can get straight to limond? surely it should be thaxton then limond, or let thaxton have a crack at limond first?

I think all this hate for khan is over the top. I'll be the first to admit his personality leaves something to be desired - as each fight passes he seems get more arrogant BUT he's obviously got a lot of confidence in himself and part of the reason he's got so much critism is he hasnt been troubled in the slightest in any of fights but isn't that an indicator of how good Khan is as well as the low level of his opposition? He was out of order putting down veteran respected pro's like thaxton but I havent ever heard this from him personally only hearsay really. Compare him to someone like John Murray who can be great to watch but at times will struggle with even mediocre opposition(like the second fight with ernie smith). Bottom line I may not like him personality wise as much as say a Ricky Hatton, but you have to admit he's probably got more potential than any of our current crop of prospects and when he takes that really big step up in comp. I think many will be surprised how well he does. Lets get behind him hey?

I think his faliour to fight heavy hitting fighters and the obviouse flaws in his tecneaqu mean people are hostile to him however his ametre achivement in a way justifies his ranking.

The rankings should indicate who is better than who, and who has achieved the most but they dont - They are hardly worth looking at because they are such a nonesense - Whatever fighters did in the Olympics or the amateur ranks should not affect their position in the pro ratings - Khan has done pretty well so far and he is gradually moving out of the safety of the shallow water by taking on Limond - OK its not really a risky fight but it is a positive step up which we have all wanted to see - If he fights Murray next and wins I think we can expect some good hard bouts to follow - Rating Khan above Jon Thaxton is really is daft - Khan v Thaxton would be a huge risk so how that position can be justified I really dont know - If you set aside Khans Olympic success and just look at his pro record so far no other kid having achieved the same would be ranked so high - Froch at number 1 is a joke as well - At face value it appears Froch is the best SM while we all know there are better fighters at that weight - Total crap giving certain fighters positions they dont deserve and rating fighters with proven records lower than they should be.
