Apparently Kassim Ouma is currently in the UK and is talking of a Commonwealth title challenge to Howard Eastman.

Thoughts?

Could be a good one. Ouma's very tough, but can be unpredicable. I think he would be the favourite though.

Yes, I'd pick him over Eastman, even if Howard is the bigger man.

Ouma, if nothing else, is a hard headed volume puncher and I can see him out working Howard handily..the old lion just hasnt got it in him anymore.

Good fight but horrible style matchup for Eastman to deal with at any age, let alone 36. I'd def make Ouma a comfortable favourite. Infact I think Ouma could stop him late.

Normally, he is. Although Ouma himself can be lazy. Especially earlier in his career and of course vs Karmazin.

Well I think Howard may have enough still to pull this one out. He's the bigger puncher of the two men, and Ouma's physical strength won't be too much of a problem, not being a full blown middleweight.

However, I think Ouma's desire will be the difference.

The thing is Eastman's stamina is poor these days and can be outworked, blowing chunks after just a few rounds against Ashira is not a good sign. I don't think his natural size difference will be a big factor, Ouma is a tough bastard and will take the fight to Eastman who will look to hold and spoil inside once his legs go...

I'd fancy Ouma, Howard would prob want a better title on the line for such a hard fight.

on a related not, there is an asikainen - sylvester rematch on the cards...

I think the Asikainen V Sylvester rematch is on the cards and has in fact been postponed twice already, the first time Amin was injured lifting weights, not sure about the second one.

As for Eastman V Ouma i would expect Ouma to outwork Eastman, Howard was never a lightning bolt even in his fresher days and the version that turned up against Ashira would not have enough in the tank. As for Oma V Karmazin well Roman Karmazin really took him to school that night didn't he? Great performance.

And finally...if Howard beats Ouma then fair play to him but i couldn't see Eastman outworking Asikainen who has improved no end since winning the European title.

If Ouma is willing to travel I'd rather see him in with Moore!

Very true - but Eastman is wise - he can easily go 12 rnds with his tricks.

If you coudl get Jamie Moore in with Kassim Ouma you'd have a fight of the year type winner gets a world title shot.
