Mormeck changed his plan. He doesn't want to fight the winner of Cunningham vs Diablo 2 anymore. He wants Haye and he just said on Canal+ the fight will take place on september.

I must admit that I've copied the above post from a poster on another forum, so I can't verify it, but if true it gives hope that the fight may take place. It'd be the first time I've read that Mormeck has uttered Hayes name.

Not seen much if any of Mormeck, but from what I've read about him it should make for a great fight. The irresistable force against the immovable object.

I know there are plenty on here and elsewhere who think Haye is without a chance, but in this day and age the main thing is that the fight actually takes place.

Full respect to Haye and Frank Maloney if they can get this on..... if it's in the UK it would be a nice added bonus, but hopefully the fight isn't dependent on it

Good stuff I thought it was more or less signed and sealed then again my following of boxing has somewhat wained from its peak. I dont think anyone could say with Haye's ko power he has no chance and I quite fancy him to take Mormeck out round the 6-7th.

This is Hayes first step into true World class against a fighter who can take a very good punch and throw leather for 12 rounds. Its a great test, for his punch power and his stamina.

As many of us said at the time, the loss against Thompson was the best thing that could've happened to him, he's been a different more patient and calculated fighter since.

Haye didn't fight Enzo, because Fwank wanted options and fighting Mormeck is better than fighting anyone else in the division except maybe Bell. Enzo hasn't done shit himself, so why bring his name up? That fight has gone out the window, so everyone might as well forget about it.

Thats the most ridiculous post I've read this year, it was Haye who was pushing for the Enzo fight, but allegedly insisted on options on Haye if he won. Frank then put Enzo in with Bobby 'The Barrel' Gunn whilst Haye took a fight at HW against Bonin.

Haye should hopefully be fighting Mormeck next, lets see who Enzo fights.

That puts it all in perspective. Options and Gunn! We'll see how serious the Enzo reign will be. Perhaps a "defining fight" in 10 years' time?

Enzo is a shit fighter though. His only chance would be to land bombs on Haye's glass jaw.

If only it was solely down to Jose. There were rumours of a Bell-Mormeck rubber match and Mormeck-Cunningham, but I'm quite confident Don King and Frank Maloney will be able to sort somat out

I suppose its not only down to him, although the if the WBC are demanding the match take place next its difficult to see how (barring haye stepping aside) the fight wont take place without mormeck being stripped.

Haye would beat Mormeck after a rough start and probably TKO him by 7/8.

Mormeck's a solid champ, but Haye is in a different class.

I'm Welsh and like Enzo, but he's limited. He can punch but that's it, he doesn't have the gas to take him the distance.

Whoever said Haye is ducking Enzo should do their homework.

I'm still not as convinced as some by Haye. There seems to be a belief that he'll effortlessly blow away Mormeck before moving up to heavyweight. Personally, I think Mormeck will be still be standing after the first 4 rounds, and Haye will be in big trouble.

I haven't heard anyone say that. Everyone knows it will be a tough fight and Mormeck will be the favourite, but Haye has the tools to win.

OK, maybe I exaggerate a little. But I feel Haye is a big underdog against Mormeck.

Mormeck is promoted by Don King, so I won't hold my breath too much until contracts have been signed, venue & date agreed etc. King wants to hold the bout in France, while Frank Maloney wants it in England.

I'm sure Maloney recently said he'd like to stage the fight at Millwall football stadium. Hay's from Bermondsey, so you can see the logic in wanting to have the bout there. What's the capacity?
